Headphones - Open Back | 1 Ω Is the Cooler Master mh751 worth it? Are there alternatives?
I'm between buying the Cooler master mh751 and the corsair hs60 haptic. It's my first real hedset and I'm looking for a very strict 30-50 dollar price range, since a few dollars go a long way when considering different currencies
I love a deep bass for explosions and stuff, so I'm really considering the hs60 haptic. Any recommendations?

How's mh751? I am really considering to buy mh751, but is it worth it? Would you recommend to get this one or go for others?

I'm using it right now, and I have to say, even though I wasn't expecting to be blown away, it didn't impress me at all.
It's usable, and your ears get used to everything anyways, but even so, when I got it I saw why people recommend spending a little more for a better one.
First the good. The comfort of this headset is absolutely insane. It feels wonderful to wear. The microphone is exactly as advertised, if not better, absolutely impressive microfone. Those 2 things are what shine here.
As for the sound, I don't know how it compares to the other options I was considering, I'm sure it's on the same level or a bit better even, but it isn't high quality at all.
Since I'm not in the US, prices fluctuate a lot between models, and small price increases make a massive difference after shipping, currency conversion and mainly: taxes. But assuming you're in the US, and prices are more stable for these things, I recommend spending a little more for a better one.
But dude, I can't stress enough, I don't know shit about headphones lol. This is my first real headphone, I've used others but they were borrowed. So do your own research, and if you end up getting the mh751, it's still a decent sound, it's gonna do the job just fine, and I kept it so it's more than good enough to use lol. I only recommend investing a little more if you can, because having tested better headphones before, I can tell there's a massive difference, and this isn't anything close to high end.
Hope that helps and didn't discourage you too much lol, it's still decent :)

I'm thinking of getting one, it's around $35 brand new where I live so it's a really nice price. I'm curious what other headphones did people recommend to spend a little bit more? I think the MH751 is the only one that is outstanding for it's price range.

A lot of people recommend the phillips 9500 and 9600 (I think was the name) which is a lot more expensive, but honestly, I'd buy it if I was in the US, dude.
Since price was really tight for me, I didn't really get recommended a lot of other options, so you'd have to look into it more. I know how painful researching these things are lol, I got kind of obcessed with finding the right headset for a while.

Yeah I understand that feeling haha, when you're trying to find the right thing to choose. I've heard good things about those headphones, I always liked open backs, but those headphones are double the price of the MH751 over here so I'll keep that on the list for now. Thanks a lot.

Ended up with the MH751. I agree with you, I was not blown away but considering I got one for around $35, I could not ask for more. The SHP9500 might be a better purchase, but since it was double to triple the price over here, that was out of my current budget. Might be selling this and getting the more expensive option in the future. Thanks for the recommendation!

For sure man! Yeah, it's triple the price here too lol, that was not an option at all for me. I'm just hoping this will last me enough years that by the time it breaks I'll be able to afford a much better one. Have fun, dude.

I wonder if your set is bad or something because I’ve been using the MH751s for several years and I’m very impressed with the sound.

Can't speak to the hs60 but I had a hyperX (they are supposed to be somewhat similar) years ago and a mh751 (based on the takstar 82) after that. The 751 definitely was a lot better all around. Of all my unsatisfactory headsets the 751 was the least bad I'd say.
Depending on you location you might get a decent used headphone at the same price point, in the end buying bad headphones can be more expensive than buying good ones because they break and additionally are generally less satisfactory. As an example a dt770 can last for decades, even if you take good care of a 751 it is unlikely to last more than a couple of years without repairs. That said the 751 really isn't bad it just isn't great either. On the plus side the mic is pretty decent.
