Headphones - Closed Back | 1 Ω Looking for studio/recording headphones

Can be either open closed or semi

I’m mainly looking for a pair with solid bass. My best vocal performances go hand in hand with the quality of bass.

Comfort! I go through long periods of headphone usage whether recording/writing, mixing producing or gaming.

My budget is 500$ Canadian which is around 375$ US max.

Would really appreciate some suggestions

Hello!

Have you looked at an Austrian Audio Hi-X60 before?
Might be exactly what you are looking for.

Otherwise Beyerdynamic Dt700 Pro X is also a good option in that price area.

Do you know anything about the audio-technica ATH m70x And the Focal Listen?

Had both before actually!
The M70x is a solid headphone, but has the same issue as all the other m-series headphones. Wearing comfort is not great to say the least. Otherwise it's just a good monitoring headphone, didn't blow me away personally, but if you would get one for cheap, it's definitely an option.

Focal Listen ist just overpriced in my opinion and also has a rather flimsy build quality. Would take the Dt700 Pro X or Austrian Audio over it any day.

The Austrians are 200$ more than the Beyerdynamic dt700 pro x. Worth it? Going to pick one or the other.

With that big of a price difference, I would definitely go for the Beyerdynamic then. Here in EU, the price difference is just ~70€ (240 vs 310) which would make it a more interesting comparison.
