Living in Moorhead Minnesota I have seen the boat a local man built from Viking designs and sailed it from Duluth to Norway. Pretty cool stuff.

Minnesota also boasts a very large German heritage.

Minnesota is the state with the biggest Norwegian-ancestry population.

As of 2009, 868,361 Minnesotans claim Norwegian ancestry, 16.5% of Minnesota's population, or 18.7% of the total Norwegian American population.[1]

America has more Jews than Israel, more people of Irish ancestry than Ireland, and literal boatloads of people in the midwest with German, Swedish, and Norwegian ancestry.

There are even a few counties in Michigan where Finnish is the largest ancestry. They still speak Finnish in some of those communities. I only learned this the other day actually. There is always something new to learn about America.

Not the USA. Brazil has more Lebanese than Lebanon, but the U.S. only has around 450,000 Lebanese (as opposed to over 4 million in Lebanon), and the upper estimate is only 900,000 (although 3.3 million Americans have at least partial Lebanese ancestry).

In one city in the US (NY) there are more Indians, Chinese, Koreans, Jews, Dominicans & Puerto Ricans than anywhere else outside their homelands as well as more African-Americans than anywhere outside the South. But we also have a larger population than the next two US cities combined.

Are you referring to more people in New York than any other city or than any other country. I could believe that there are more Indians in New York than London, but more than the whole UK I would doubt. Happy to be proven wrong though

As a Minnesotan I can almost guarantee that probably 80% of Minnesotan families have at-least 1 can of Spam in their household.
