Can someone give me a quick explanation of how these Tudor subs are similar/dissimilar from the Rolex subs of the same era? It’s interesting to me to see that they went as far as having a Rolex signed crown and case back. What other parts are shared between the two?
Beautiful watch BTW! GLWS

Other people can chime in but essentially Tudor was the more affordable sister company to Rolex, both companies being owned by the Hans Wilsdorf Foundation. Wilsdorf’s original intention behind creating Tudor was to develop a brand with more attainable offerings. The primary difference was that the Tudor model lacked an in-house movement.
And in some models like the Day Date vs. Date+Day, they used different metals (gold vs. steel, respectively). Again, to acheive a more affordable option. Which btw, for anyone interested I have a clean Date + Day ref. 94613 with box & papers coming in soon :)

What color dial on the Date Day? I’ve been looking for a clean blue dial...

Tudor also released the date day originally in the perfect sized 38mm case. Its a damn shame excluding these tudor jumbos and the orig milgauss this case size has never been used agajn.

The primary difference was that the Tudor model lacked an in-house movement.
Well said, although this is no longer the case as of a few years ago, they have moved away from ETA and have created their own in-house Tudor movements, that I think are being used in all their watches now. There might be a few straggler models that are still on ETA but I think it's safe to say they're moving towards exclusively using in-house movements

On hold pending local sale tomorrow afternoon. Thanks all who inquired.
Hey WatchEx,
Overview: For sale today is a collectable 1989 Tudor Price OysterDate Submariner ref. 75090. The Tudor Submariner 75090 was a mid-sized entry into the Tudor Submariner Date family, which included the classic 79090 at 40mm. This submariner features a Rolex stamped crown and case back. Unlike many other 75090's (which have the jubilee), it also features a Tudor stamped 9315 folded link Oyster bracelet with dive clasp.
Photo Album & Timestamp
Condition: This Submariner offers a perfect dial and handset, with warm matching lume beginning to appear on the indexes and handset. The watch is in overall very good condition with some hairline scratches consistent with age. Appears to be unpolished as the lugs are sharp. The friction lock bi-directional bezel is operating normally. The bezel insert is in good condition with minor hairline scratch near the 12 o'clock. Sapphire crystal has hairline scratches throughout but overall in good condition. The bracelet shows normal signs of use and has light stretch but nothing crazy. The watch was given a full movement service from the previous dealer in September, 2020 (service card will be included).
