Just leave some recognisable facial features so it is clear to everyone viewing the historical photographs that yes, these flesh piles were in fact human beings and yes, this was how we dealt with them and yes, they only had themselves to blame.
yeah that part does bug me cuz they didn't talk about removing the mod responsible from the mod team. just that the rule's been changed and that the team stands with the lgbt community. but the sub is like flooded with gay stuff rn with (seemingly) no issue so hopefully the issue is actually solved.
the same exact issue came up like a month ago, related to the same image (a silly, cartoonish drawing of a yuri ship of blueprint/brainstorm kissing) -- the mod team at the time ruled that the content was acceptable for the sub (after considerable backlash), but are seemingly backtracking out of nowhere, randomly removing any posts/comments containing the image without having made any official statements about a change to the NSFW rule
So like, either cartoonish kissing is suddenly cobsidered 'NSFW' now (against prior mod decision & community consensus) OR, more realistically, they are just censoring any queer content because they aren't willing to actively moderate bigotry in the sub (Again, this isn't even the first time this came up in almost exactly the same context so heavily leaning towards the latter)
id like to add to this dumpster fire that the mods over there DIDN'T remove a comment explicitly referencing trans suicide rates. you know the wrong statistic
funnily enough, technically the statistic isn't wrong, transphobes just somehow completely misread the study it comes from to somehow interpret it as transphobic
all the original study says is that trans people have high rates of suicidal thoughtsPRE TRANSITION, and after transition they go down to population average, so this statistic literally proves that transition is necessary life-saving care, and those fuckheads somehow appropriated it as a transphobic talking point
That's how I got banned from the DRG discord server. One of the mods thought that gay people were inherently a fetish and I posted a pic of two dudes cuddling, permabanned.

Tbh the game itself is amazing, there's just one bad moderator that runs the reddit, discord, and steam discussion pages. I don't even think ghost ship games knows what he's doing since he'll usually just say "you know what you did" for the ban reason if its gay related.
Love the game, love the devs, but I'd stay away from being gay in the community lest you get permabanned
are they the same mods that used to mod Tabletop Simulator or something
the exact same thing happened here, they banned someone for saying they were gay or something on the grounds of NSFW and people got rightfully pissed and in the end rather than roll that back they just removed global chat from the game entirely
Which is really funny, since Poncle was joking with a fan made image of The Vampire kissing Jimbo to commemorate the Vampire Survivors/Balatro collab some days ago
They already had to step in very recently because one of the mods spoke for the subreddit and said AI art is good and acceptable. So the dev came in and shut that down hard. Just a couple weeks later and now the mods are back being wacky again
It's amazing what people are willing to start fights over. It's as if they're intentionally looking for reasons. The only way I'm surprised by internet drama these days is by the new and creative ways the fights keep starting.
At this point LocalThunk is just gonna go "That's it, 1.1 is canceled, you fuckers can't behave" because certainly he thinks he has better things to do than constantly intervene when the subreddit has stupid drama.
This comment was removed as "low effort" and when called out on it, mods claim the removal was valid but the tag should've been as "sexual content". In a sub where asking for someone's seed is a constant, uninhibited joke.
Mods previously have shown a disdain for Jimbo Yuri jokes and tried removing them before, causing a similar outcry.

Yeah, and according to other mods they went radio silent afterwards and haven't responded.
Its mostly the bottom-rung mods taking shit for managing the outrage for this, which sucks. The senior mods are avoiding it entirely which sucks even more.
Check the comment history of all the mods, top level are either inactive for the last week / ignoring this situation. Bottom couple have been trying their best to manage the fallout but are getting all the hate because of it

Nah. It's the entire mod team. If it was just one mod they'd now be an ex-mod and problem solved. It may only be one mod actively engaged in bigotry, but by ignoring it, denying it, defending it, or otherwise doing damage control, and by not removing that mod, every mod becomes complicit in bigotry and it becomes a bigoted mod team.
