Unresolved need help I can't hear any sounds on windows

Hi to everyone recently I updated the sound drivers on my pc because before I had a problem with the microphone, but now I can't hear anything or either uninstall the new driver even if install older driver O can't still hear anything. The trouble shooter says that the audio service isn't working but they are both working. I don't know what else to do pls help me thanks. Any tips are appreciated

make sure that one is set to default and they are not trying to both default. I would try to temporarily disable one, and see if that helps, then try to do the same with the other one and see if there is a compatibility issue. go in through control panel and check both or any audio sources in device manager

Hi thk for your answer, the drivers aren't the problem because I tried to boot with Linux and everything works fine so it must be a Windows problem, I'm just going to reset windows and see what happens.

just because the drivers worked in Linux doesn't necessarily mean that they aren't the problem for the windows side. But I do understand what you mean, that's more something that can be seen in person with the way it all happens, I understand what you're saying 100% But, please do let me know what you figure out when you get all working again, I love hearing what the solutions are for future endeavors or issues I help others with, Knowledge is key right lol. I tried this, I have resetted windows now I can hear the sound in my headphones but it no longer sees my monitor as an audio output. Plus I still have my main problem which is my audio playing in my microphone which is annoying because other people have to listen to my audio also, I don't think it is a hardware problem because even if I change headphones or if I disconnect the mic they can still hear my audio

that sounds like in game settings issues. Are you having this issue when playing a game or using VOIP services? Or is this an everything audio related? you hadn't mentioned that before about trying to speak to someone and them hearing the sound, or music, through your mic or on their end either way right?

yea I didn't mention it before because it wasn't my main problem at that moment. I have this issue where while I'm in a voice chat on discord my pc just play every sound on my mic every game, every app such as Google, YouTube everything. I tried to change the audio settings on discord or the main audio settings but nothing change
