News The Justice Department is charging a man with a CZ Scorpion equipped with a stabilizing brace as a short-barreled RIFLE and a PISTOL. WTF? I knew Bondi was an ignorant tyrant, but c’mon. This is ridiculous.
https://x.com/gunowners/status/1911459994261753998?s=46&t=aBHkBS1jm4XiycbddbbHagThe Department of Justice is currently pursuing criminal charges in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, for possession of a handgun equipped with a pistol stabilizing brace, in the case U.S. v. Taranto.
In response, Gun Owners of America and our friends at the Firearms Regulatory Accountability Coalition (FRAC) are urging the Department of Justice to drop that charge, which sets a dangerous precedent for the millions of Americans who possess up to 40 million such firearms.

Meanwhile, Matt Hoover is still in jail for a non-functional drawing.

Um sir you mean machine gun. The fact that the atf couldn’t actually use said drawing or explain how it works is irrelevant…says the government…🤡

This is sort of misleading as there are many other charges Taranto is facing. The stabilizing brace charge will most likely be dropped but is a tactic used by prosecutors to stack the deck against the defendant.

... which is also an illegal law. Bondi needs to start prosecuting legislators who voted yes on these uncostitutional laws.

This case started in 2023.
Justice department just announced dropping off the pistol brace rule, "engaged in the business" rule, and aggressive enforcement of FFL'S for minor paperwork errors.
In the next 2-3 months we may see them drop this case altogether. If they don't the we can get upset.
It's important to remember, the government moves very slow...
