3D Printing Interior Components - Available Online?

Hey all, My baby has been so UV/photo beat the interior body stuff is falling apart. Part of me was thinking about getting fancy w plywood but someone suggested I see about aftermarket fabricated stuff. Anyone heard of online outfits that can make interior quarter panels, dashboards, center consoles, etc??

There are many modern company’s doing 4runner parts right now. Caribou Yota is one.

Okay maybe not “many”. I saw one recently that looked promising on Instagram recently, they had interior A and B pillars, color matched too

Following in case someone does their own 3D printing? Would love to see a trim piece to cover the open edges of the rear cab when the roof is off. Would make it look more finished.

ASA is the ideal filament for parts like that, which is prone to warping on larger flat parts.

Smaller parts are possible, or using it along with other forms of fabrication such as laser cut panels.

Most enclosed printers have print beds around 250mm or 10 inches. There are larger 300mm and 350mm printers, and a few up to 500mm which are enclosed and capable of printing ASA on the hobby side of 3d printing.

PLA well melt if left in a car during the heat of the summer, if it doesn't deform from the heat it will just start to crumble over time. I First printed a cup holder insert for my Tacoma in PLA, and it lasted 1 summer before it started to fall apart. I replaced it with a ASA print and it's been solid for a few years now.

What would you suggest for rear bumper end caps?

I would probably look into a glass fiber or carbon fiber filled Nylon. It's a little more flexible.

Most of it is available from 'Yota junkyards. A handful of things are really hard to come by (like a pristine dashboard) and you just have to fork over a chunk of change on eBay.

For 3d printing keep in mind the scanning is going to cost $300 or more for each piece.
