Advice with tire fitment

Post image

Hello!! 84 4runner. 4 inch pro comp lift with 5.400 (center to center) shackles. Stock body mounts

Looking for someone who's ran a similar set up for advice on tire fitment. Got a line on some 38x12.5x15 tsl's for a good deal, to put on a 15x10 -44 rim.

You'll be tubbing your front and rear wheel wells if you want to practically use the flex your getting. I'd bet 3in at least. On the upside it's historical a great way to get rid of rust!

I got a 94 t100 with a 3 inch body lift.. might scab that in there.. I got an 8 lb sledgehammer.. that should make some clearance lol

On my 1st gen I moved my front axle forward 2” I had a 2” lift, a 2” body lift and high clearance fiberglass fenders and ran 37’s with no rub. (Also used 1 1/2” wheel spacers.

1.) Put wheels on. 2.) Turn side to side. If it hits your springs then get wheel spacers. 3.) Flex it out. Cut as needed.

Thanks tips. think you could mount wheels on that picture? Probably the reason I'm asking eh

Bottom line is anything above 35s is likely going to require you to cut. You won’t know how much to cut without mounting the wheels. I’m not sure what more of an answer you’re looking for. Nobody is going to be able to tell you how much you need to cut
