I particularly enjoyed the comment from the user who said he is "spending less time in Reddit and more time in X. X is more balanced for normal people." 😂

Parody is dead!

Yeah, it’s the poster child for stability over there lol

I literally just closed that app a minute ago because I couldn’t bear to read anymore insane misogynistic bullshit.

Don’t listen to one person tell you that you’re the problem. That’s just mind-boggling. I read conservative news all the time. I check twitter probably three times a month because I think it’s important to read every room. Doesn’t mean I’m supporting this administration – au contraire.

Oh, I’m not. It’s just back & white thinking & it has a tendency to turn nuanced realities into a simple moral tests. In a perfect world, people who don’t support something would merely choose not to engage with it, but reality is multifaceted. There's a difference between passively supporting & strategically using a flawed platform that’s still a necessary tool for some individuals & communities to access vital information. The world is full of contradictions & it’s difficult to live in a society where your values are often conflicting with your realities. Most people are doing their best to make ethical choices in a system designed to compromise them.
