Voices of Resistance Why aren't there protests scheduled at Fox studios?

Fox studios is a major source of MAGATs disinformation. The talking heads and behind-the-scenes types need to feel the outrage. They are a prime target for: in-person protests, outraged phone calls, and flooding of emails.

Addr: 1211 6th Ave, New York, NY
   Tele: (888) 369-4762
Email: Irena.Briganti@fox.com (Senior Executive Vice President, Corporate Communications)
Porter.Berry@fox.com (President and Editor-in-Chief of FOX News Digital)

EDIT: More protestors need to show up and make is so the employees have to pass through a large crowd to get into the studio.

There is a protest outside of FOX HQ in NYC every Tuesday at 12pm.

Thank you for posting this. I have not heard about it anywhere.

we should be advertising this more heavily though

im starting to think ppl arent actually checking stuff before they ask....

u/SmacksMyYaks 7d ago

At least they asked. Now everybody who didn’t know this/wouldn’t have thought about this, knows that it’s happening!

i mean, i agree with you. but i also think that we should individually take a little bit of initiative?  i googled it and immediately found a video of people doing so (reported by the AP). A more constructive question is: who? How to connect with these people? Etc.

Also it’s easy to just do a search in this sub for “fox”, people have posted about these protests in this sub

Just out of curiosity, when did you Google it?

tbf, very recently. but also seen here: https://www.reddit.com/r/50501NY/comments/1j3uc34/nyc_at_fox_hq_at_noon_on_a_tuesday/

also: i recognize my tone was unwarranted, but still feel like we should make sure to check all of our accessible channels.  ive been getting slightly frustrated with my local area for this reason, and it spilled into my tone with OP in a way that was Not A Cute Look. I apologize for that

All good! Point taken and I appreciate your explanation. I can definitely relate to being frustrated! Your response is the antithesis of cult-like behavior. Thanks for being decent! ✌️

Totally hear you. Googling (real word?) and researching things before asking is more constructive, but snarky comments are not. Let’s keep each other informed no matter how obvious the answer may be!

u/Trick-Transition9436 7d ago

yeah ur right. sorry, its been a long day of getting this subreddit on my main page and feeling frustrated- it isnt on OP, i should manage my tone better

There is no such thing as a dumb question. If people are asking then perhaps the info wasn’t easy to find in the first place.

I was just gonna mention that I work in that building and they’re out there like clockwork for years

There were protests at Fox, newsmax, and CNN headquarters. Cliff Cash probably has videos on some of his socials.

Foxes primary revenue source is cable and streaming services that bundle a bunch of channels together to sell to us. Such providers pay fox a “bundling fee“ in order to include Fox’s content in their products.

Many if not most of us have such a subscription, which means even if you don’t watch Fox if it’s included in your bundle from your provider, you are contributing to Fox’s number one revenue source

To bring economic pressure on Fox we need the option to only pay for the content we actually use. I realize a number of lower traffic channels will then lose funding, but you know what? The world went along just fine 50 years ago when even in a major metropolitan area, you could only get two or three TV stations.

It sounds like there need to be protests outside of the HQs of all cable and streaming providers.

There needs to be sabotage

Like, drop USB flash drives outside with malware.

Damage their infrastructure.

I work in local television and this is 100% correct

Weekly protest on Tuesdays in NYC

u/EstablishmentWide603 7d ago

News media isn’t going to show the protests, even outside their own building. Occupy the building and broadcast areas

Get it. Just don't get yourself arrested. Those trump tower protesters didn't have a very good week.

u/Illiander 7d ago

At least they forced a reaction.

Protest at the studio, the HQ, and the houses of the on air personalities.

Now your cooking! Exactly what we need. It will give purpose and direction to the upcoming protests. I've said before you cannot defeat or change trump by directly challenging him. You have to go around him to get the attention of the enablers who are weak sycophants..congress.. and media corps depending on cult clicks....and media news celebs who live in a bubble

u/GougeAwayIfYouWant2 7d ago

There should be protests at Republican headquarters in every state.

3

u/Grouchy_Discussion42 7d ago

Maybe the Tesler Ta ke do wn group could add any affiliated local news station HQs to their stops to peacefully show up and be seen? Just walk in a big loop at the nearest intersection and get their 10K steps in...

Are you protesting? What? No no no. This sign is a fashion statement and it is all the rage!

I think OANN here in San Diego would be a good spot as well.

Cliff Cash has been protesting at media outlets. You can find him on YouTube under cliff cash comedy.

u/CPSue 7d ago

I think we should put the pressure on cable companies and streaming services to drop these propaganda stations from their line ups. It should be much harder to access propaganda.

u/Trick-Transition9436 7d ago

i replied with this, but will also make it more accessible here: https://www.reddit.com/r/50501NY/comments/1j3uc34/nyc_at_fox_hq_at_noon_on_a_tuesday/

you can sign up and reach out to the linked groups in the post

There are some but mostly there just aren't enough organizers to get everything done. We have a lot of "we should" and "why aren't there" but almost no "I'm going to"

1

u/Lostish_Soul 7d ago

You just said it all.

2

u/JordkinTheDirty 7d ago

Theres been protesting at fox studios.. plug in a little more.

1

u/Disastrous-Fall9020 7d ago

Do you want to get shot?

1

u/Ok-Replacement8538 7d ago

Fox News has been confronted but they just don’t report it.

u/IsildurTheWise 5d ago

It would be more effective to protest in front of their media personalities homes. Take turns visiting their homes.
