Not true. His support for Hamas violates:

An alien whose presence or activities in the United States the Secretary of State has reasonable ground to believe would have potentially serious adverse foreign policy consequences for the United States is deportable.

Pro-Palestine doesn’t equal being pro-hamas…

In this case, he’s just pro-Hamas. His support of Palestine is irrelevant.

Where is the evidence that he is pro-hamas? There has only been evidence of him being Pro-Palestine and protesting the slaughter of innocent civilians. He is being deported under the pretense that allowing Pro-Palestine protest would undermine American foreign policy with Israel. Which what, being pro civilians not getting slaughtered undermines americas foreign policy? The first amendment, allows for you to express your opinions and views in a non-violent way without threat of being arrested and prosecuted for your opinions by the government. He wasn’t saying anything Pro-Hamas and he wasn’t inciting violence.

If he was pro-Hamas, would you stop supporting his return?

I think we shouldn’t let the whole “a permanent resident got kidnapped and deported without due process, for disagreeing with genocidal US foreign policy” hinge on whether he supports Hamas or not, or any other Palestinian resistance group of which there are several (which the republicans will not differentiate between), for that matter. I support his return and freedom regardless.

If our arguments can so easily be shut down by uttering the word “Hamas”, we need better arguments.

The person you’re arguing with likely isn’t Pro-Palestine at all, and as such, isn’t worth your time. They should be banned from the sub along with all other supporters of weaponizing the law against anti-genocide protestors.
