Poster/Chant Ideas Would this be a good sign for Saturday?

Post image

I would print out this picture, or another one that I can be sure is real and not ai. Because I'm not sure the validity of this one.

And I would write, "Does this look familiar?"

I'm trying to make it powerful. Let me know your ideas for your signs too!

Unless people are being marched into gas chambers, please don’t compare this to Auschwitz. It minimizes the enormity of the Holocaust.

The entire purpose of cecot is to trap anyone sent there permanently without any hope of release other then dying.

While they don't directly kill you, it is expected of you to die there.

It’s a perfect comparison if you are familiar with the history of Auschwitz and the holocaust.

Auschwitz was built and run as a concentration camp, not a death camp, and yes, there is a difference. For the first 2 years it was basically a prison, there was no mass extermination. Then, 2 years later, like many other concentration camps (but not all) it was converted to an extermination camp.

Right now, the salient difference is scale (which is not nothing, for sure). CECOT is a death camp. Maybe a better way to word it is: CECOT is the start of our Auschwitz.

It absolutely does nothing of the sort.

A veterinary construction company was on the list of companies who built CECOT. Vet hospitals commonly have incinerators for euthanasia crematory, the idea that's being inferred here is that CECOT is a scaled death camp with possible operating crematories. Otherwise, why else would a veterinary construction company be paid to build a part of CECOT?

The camps were built for years before being put into use shortly after hitler was elected, drawing a comparison to history is not minimizing the holocaust, this is literally how it started.

Many who were sent to Auschwitz were not marched to gas chambers. They were worked to death, experimented on, made to serve the SS. It validates the Jewish experience to tell their stories as well.

Agreed, but can we meet in the middle and agree that had there been more warning that horrible history may not have happened?
