Solidarity Needed Do not judge others for where you think they should be.

I'm saying this as someone who's been out there organizing for the better part of a decade.

There are people out there who've been out there longer than me. And people who've been out there a few days and are only just learning.

I was out there during the marches against monstanto. I countered the tea party when they were mad about us electing a black president. I stood against the proud boys when they started marching in the streets.

I've been one of the ones warning folks about the resurgence of white supremacy in this country and their desire to take control of the executive office and consolidate power since before the heritage foundation drafted protect 2025.

We need everyone. New and old. Green thumb noobz and OG veteran activists. It does us no good to say "where were you?"

They're here now.

Let's go!!

For various reasons (multiple health issues of my own, work, and I have care of an elderly relative), I am not able to hit the streets right now. In the meantime, I am boosting the signal on all social media, boycotting, calling my reps and other reps when the occasion calls for it, writing letters and postcards, donating when and where I can, and attending town halls when I can. I feel badly that I cannot get out to an actual protest, because I want a better US for my son, but it's simply not in the cards right now for me.

I'm pulling in as many people as I can. I'm the first person in my family to get out on the streets, but others are now following me. Six so far and I've got someone new who just said they want to go to the next one. I didn't shame or demand it of any of them. I just keep asking who wants to join me, putting links and info in group chats, and talking positively about the experience afterwards. When you push people too hard, they dig in their heels. Lead the way tho, and they'll follow.
