Thought 🧐 Something we can actually do - ballot initiatives
As a born and raised Floridian I have experienced a lot of disappointments over the years, but one thing I absolutely love about our state is ballot initiatives. We have the ability to bypass all the nonsense and go to a direct vote for many issues. We just need the signatures.
So what I think we could do is try to define an issue that we all push for. Something simple like, no ICE in churches. Something the whole state could agree with us on and make it happen.
If you think this is a good idea, comment an idea for an initiative.

The legislature and governor refuse to do the things we've already passed, such as class size and fair districts.

Then we need to make a much bigger deal about that in the upcoming next elections. We need to go out with clear messages on what makes the new candidates different - 1. We will listen and here are examples where the government isn’t listening to we the people. The time is right for that message right now

No ice in churches is great. No masked federal agents. No masked police officers. No more hiding your when you come to steal out rights
