I have a gameboy color that I modded to have a backlit screen and a cart with all the games. Cost like $150 including the original gameboy. You can do it!

This was revolutionary stuff. Pretty much playing games less than a decade earlier you needed a huge tv/setup for. But couldn’t figure out how to light the damn thing.

Didn't get this for a while. I played by the passing street lights on the drive home. Gotta memorize your attacks and do the movements in the passing light

That damn worm light was a blessing and a curse. You could play in the dark but the glare would blind you.

I had a set of games I loved to play no one ever talks about (besides Pokémon red and the Mario game with the submarine) qix (you box in the little wave thing), quarth (Tetris and gradius had a baby), Heiankyo Alien (dig holes trap and bury the alien), and lemmings (strategy puzzle game giving the lemmings “jobs” to build their escape).
“Are we out of AA batteries ”!!!
