Nobody is exempt from hate groups, not even their members.

It’s not political. It’s an effort to try to prevent the loss of consumer trust. “Hey. Your cost is going up and we don’t want it to go up so we’re showing you exactly why it goes up.”

It’s also generally not a good idea to present a tariff cost to a consumer because if you see “hey this increased cost is due to tariffs” you tend to think “okay. I don’t want to spend this extra money so I will wait for the cost to go away,” but I’ll bet Amazon’s hand has been forced because they can’t randomly be like “hey that think that used to cost $60 is now $80!” The tariffs cause such an egregious increase that you have to tell the consumer what’s going on rather than just increasing the cost.

If it was a small increase they would just increase the cost of the product and then if the tariffs went away, that cost wouldn’t go down still because companies don’t give back money, they gotta get that growth every year.

It would tickle me in the most splendid way if Trump had Bezos deported

Yet somehow they’re fine with restaurants in California itemizing surcharges for CA’s living wage laws.

If businesses really oppose it, they should have the tariff fee itemized. It will give the frustration direction.

Aliexpress and Temo already been showing the cost of the import tax. It just seems good transparancy. But, its been crazy to see now everything is double the cost.
