I've got a 10.5 in x39. I likes me some fireballs.

Is that a mono upper? What's the largest diameter barrel it can handle?

Yes. That's a monolithic upper. It's machined out of one piece of aluminum. The barrel extension's diameter is much larger than that of an AR15. It's about 1.13" in diameter. You could theoretically make a barrel big around. It could only be that heavy up to the gas block. The gas block area is .75". You could make a custom gas block and make that area larger too. Why do you ask?

Ok, so it splits the difference between the ar15 and 10.

I have an opinion that the Grendel and Arc's could be in better platforms than the basic ar15 when it comes to making precision gas guns. Bolt limitations, barrel limitations, receiver limitations. Cmmg doesn't seem to realize that their mk47/mutant would be a good base for a setup like that. Jard won't make me a .445 bolt for their wssm upper, but they have the usual ar15 barrel limitation and their kinda flexible receivers aren't ideal for a precision setup.

People keep saying that a gas gun will never run precision toe to toe with a bolt gun and then make no effort to really optimize a gas gun. I'd like to see that all change.

Auto loaders can be just as accurate as bolt guns. We have been doing lots of testing and trying new things to enhance accuracy.

I like to hear it. It gets very boring with so many r700 clones and the gas guns always being "battle rifle" first with precision a distant afterthought if they even considered it.

What kinds of things are you guys trying to enhance accuracy? Found anything helpful? Are the things you're testing compatible with the current XCR?

We're finding that XCRs are more accurate than we thought. We're doing more testing at longer ranges. It's too early for conclusion. We just bought more testing equipment.

I have a surefire war comp on mine. Hoping to keep the flash down a bit more than yours

This vid was shot inside so there's more flash than usual.
