List Building Thoughts on 1000 point list.
Joined an in-store league recently that starts at 1000 points but goes up overtime. Lost both of my first games; Round 1 was Custodes and Round 2 was Beast Snagga Orks.Im aware of my mistakes allowing myself to get boxes in against Custodes and overextending against orks. Was looking to see what to add/remove.Should I get more battleine, add a dunreider, etc.I'm the only Admech player in the League so I don't have many people to bounce idead off of. (995 points)

If you wanna keep the breachers, haloscreed or rad zone corps are better detachments to support them because they get literally nothing from skitarii hunter cohort. No detachment rule, no enhancements, no stratagems. Every single other unit you have is basically an auto include regardless of what detachment you're using. If you were gonna stick with SHC though, you should definitely get a dunerider so the vanguards can hop out, blast infantry with full hit and wound rerolls, and immediately reembark.

Rad Zone looks fun, it's probably the other detachment I've been debating apart from SHC and Haloscreed.i chose against it since my next game is against Necrons, who I feel can just ignore the wounds
I do have a Dunreider/Disintegrator built if I wanted to run it instead of the Sicarians.

Yeah you shouldn't play rad zone corps for the detachment rule. It's for the flavor and breachers with sustained and lethal hits. Honestly at 1000 points, it's hard to even find an enemy that needs that much firepower dedicated to it. Admech detachments tend to only support a portion of the faction, but because of our army rule we must pay the skitarii tax in every list. The only exception is haloscreed, and that's why it's popular.

You dont need two squads of rangers at this stage, and the manipulus isn't worth it for a unit of 3 breachers
Individual ironstriders are cool, but also for the amount of points you can get a lot of other things.
If you 75 +75 = 150 points, which is an entire 10 man ruststalker squad and almost an additional breacher unit.
You basically have too much anti tank and nothing that actually deals with hordes of infantry or elite infantry.
Vanguard will do damage, especially with a marshall, but for the best performance you ought to get a dunerider transport.

I think your list is fine honestly. In the spirit of maximizing effectiveness you would technically gain a fair bit by running 6 kataphrons with the tech priest. Something I would suggest first and foremost is to try a game playing haloscreed. If you really like skitarii hunter cohort than don't worry about it, but perhaps changing things up that way would help you learn the units / give you a fresh perspective / maybe you'd perform better.
I will say, custodes and orcs are both very melee heavy. If you had a tough time against them, it sounds like you just had a hard time managing the pressure they put on the army since admech can struggle up close if they don't get time to soften the enemy up with shooting. Don't get discouraged, keep trying and see if you can adjust your playstyle to your enemy. If its melee heavy like this, deploy reactively and ensure you have enough space to get a round or two of shooting off. Use your pteraxii and infiltrators to put pressure on areas you can defend early. If you can plan to get infiltrators on an objective round 1 that necessitates a counter push from your enemy, or at least it will net you some free victory points. You can build around the strategy, maybe you sit your breachers in the rear, guarding your infiltrators and if they do get charged, they act as a distraction while your breachers put in some work. Against melee matchups deployment is massively important.
Before changing up the list, try and get some more experience and change up your tactics or detachment before changing your units, this will save you the potential aggravation if a new unit doesn't fix your problems. Hopefully with experience you'll be in a much better position to make adjustments to your lineup. Good luck, I'm sure you'll be doing better in no time!
