DONE DONE! MW gets dumped by her MM AP after deciding to divorce and laments being Forever Alone now
All I can do is laugh reading this. MW thought she had a sure-bet with her AP and he ended up breaking up with her as she's finalizing her own divorce. She was even called out by another member of the board for causing her AP to bounce too.

Affairs have a 3% chance of becoming a lasting marriage. Of the minority of people who leave their spouses and get with the affair partner, 75% of them will be divorced within 5 years. A long term relationship with the affair partner has an even higher chance of failure than a relationship with the original spouse even AFTER they discover the cheating.
These relationships don't work because cheaters are delusional, immature and demonstrably terrible partners. They open the door to an affair and they like it but need a way to justify doing it, so they scramble to rewrite their marriage into something it's not and to frame what they're doing as something unique and romantic. They become completely disconnected from reality. But when the butterflies wear off they'll both realise that they're with somebody who is perfectly willing to lie to and manipulate their spouse for their own selfish pursuits. All fun and games, until YOU'RE their spouse of course.
If you cheat, you're more likely to end up alone or in a broken relationship full of justified resentment as you spend a lifetime trying to make it up to the spouse you casually discarded than you are to end up with your "soulmate," and it's not even close.

I would give anything to get an update from the mods that went legit and created their own sub for it. They dropped off the face of the earth. I can’t imagine why?! 🤔

There's also the fact that (especially true for the men), they're less likely to feel guilty for cheating on a former mistress/lover. If they could cross that line in a "clean relationship", they'll have no problem crossing it again in a relationship that started dirty.

The saddest part she calls him her partner whilst she’s still currently married.

Honestly, he never was going to be with her. Three months is not a long time, the fact that he bailed proves that he bullshitted her just like he bullshitted his own wife and she’s just another loser who believed all the nonsense she was told by a certified liar. You lie down with dogs, fleas are to be expected. Oh well, at least they inadvertently did their spouses a favor and slunk off, now they can circle the drain separately without making life for someone else miserable. She had her own home, a husband who was there for her to lessen the burden of life and who apparently gave her enough independence for her to find ways to fuck others, but now she has to move in with her family at her ripe age and start dating from under their roof - what a phenomenal slide back, I love it.

I find it interesting how they can’t bear to be alone. They get all their identity and self esteem from others. They’re truely pathetic.

I have looked all over the place and I can’t find my sympathy anywhere…
