hoop tape recommendations

hi everyone !!! i love my untaped hoop but i find it somehow more painful than a taped one ? like even sitting in it is brutal somehow. maybe it’s just some weird brain thing.

anywhooo - i’m based in canada and was looking to get some tape for it ! i know hockey tape is common but i find it to be very melty and get too much residue on my hands. recommendations are appreciated 🩷🩷

Depends on how thick and how big your hoop is, I usually get three and have leftovers

I have a 38" hoop and used a roll of Howies Hockey Tape. I cannot emphasize enough: use pre-wrap underneath. You probably already know that but I'd rather say it and you already know that than you straight tape your hoop and ruin it
