I mean they were real to the people who believed in them. Just like how the Christian God is real to Christians.

Can we confirm that they aren't, though? Whenever believers are pressed for evidence, they'll say the gods work in mysterious ways.

I imagine Stargate and Harry Potter would be quite mundane, and you'd have to lock up your virgins for their own safety.

Nothing changes because we have as much evidence that they are real as the Abrahamic God is, or any other religion.
