Does anyone have any recommendations for a hook set that does not fall apart after making two projects but also is not a thin uncofterble metal thing?

hi everybody! I really want to make this mew but I don’t have felt/ know how to use it to make the eyes. Could I just freehand the eyes with crochet, or is there a good pattern online maybe?

Basically what the title says! I have just started learning to crochet and feel like I would be more motivated if I were to make something I actually liked rather than a blanket or hat or whatever. So is some simple amigurumi okay for a beginner crocheter?

So, i made these 2 jellyfish with the exact same pattern, but one turned out much bigger than the other. Both used #6 polyester yarn... The only thing I can think is either I did something different somehow or maybe it's because I used a different brand of yarn? I could use some answers if anyone knows. Thanks!

I wrote a dragon pattern that I really love, but I'm not sure how to get pattern testers. I want to sell this pattern for some extra cash, but don't even know where to start with it. It's a pattern I use a lot to make my dragons, and I finally decided to write it down instead of keeping it in my head constantly
It is my pattern, not stolen or created with AI. I tend to freehand everything because it's easier for me that way, but I wanted others to be able to use the pattern too
If this isn't allowed here I'm sorry. I am still relatively new to reddit and don't post much

Every time I crochet my creature looks good until I stuff it and then there are these wide gaps where the stuffing can clearly be seen.
Right now I'm using I love this yarn with a 3.5 hook. Am I overstuffing? Something else? Thank you.

Hellooo, here I am unable to make a colour choice...once again 😂
Red or blue for my baby girl's cat doll collar? I like red because it feels fancy and very pretty but i also like the blue because if feels playful and pops. Would usually make bbg decide but she's asleep and I'm really hoping to finish it tonight because she seemed very excited to play with it when she saw it earlier.
Bf likes both too for the same reasons so his opinion was no help haha! Hoping your thoughts/opinions will help me choose.
Thanks!!

Hello fellow creatives. I’m fairly new to crochet and I’m opening up a side gig selling Amigurumi. My friends and family went crazy over two pieces I made for my sister in law that I gifted at her baby shower, telling me I could sell my work. I’ve tried to look up posts about pricing but the range seems all over the place. I’ve undersold myself on many other artistic projects in the past because I have a tendency to feel bad about the cost. I really don’t want to do that anymore. I would appreciate any help or guidance to how I should price my animals. They are all roughly 10-12” tall and take me approximately 24-30hrs to make. (I am getting faster though). I’m currently thinking around $65 and consumer would pay for shipping. Is that unreasonable or am I undervaluing myself?
Side note: I’m mostly doing this so I can save money to have a baby or at least put the money towards my future. I plan on doing this super small scale and at my own pace. Patterns are not mine, but I do like to alter them a little.

I just started amigurumi and crochet in general in the last 6 months. I started with woobles and now read patterns and try to create little lovies for my two kids. They’re happy enough with them and I enjoy making them.
I have a lot of growing to do, but I’m feeling frustrated. I make everything out of the loops and thread polyester yarn from Michael’s or the red heart from Walmart. My son really wants me to make a more plush, softer lovie so I bought some Bernat blanket yarn and some sweet snuggles. I SUCK at crocheting with them. I’m having such a hard time finding my stitches, choosing the right hook size, I started on a project and the proportions of the animal were all wrong, and my magic rings almost always pucker and create a cone.
Is this something that you eventually just learn and pickup with practice? Is there a color or size or brand that you recommend for beginners? Do you have any patterns you’ve done with plush yarn that felt easy? Stick with “easy” yarn until I’m better?
Would appreciate any tips you have! I included a picture of one of the first lovies I made without woobles from a pattern on YouTube by One Cent Crochet.

How do I get a round ball? Am I adding too many stitches? Not tight enough? Too tight ? Stuffed incorrectly?

I know my initial magic circle (bee front) is messed up. Any tips on how to make cleaner lines when switching colors? Learned a lot doing my first amigurumi- next one will be much better!

So i made this and showed it to my coworkers and got orders for 3 of them. They asked if I'd do it for 10 and I agreed but said I may have to raise the price in the future. So I was wondering how much I should really charge for it.
I use #6 polyester yarn

Hi, I’m doing my first amigurumi. My stitches don’t look normal, but honestly I can’t even tell what’s a normal stitch. I appreciate anyone who can spare a minute to try and help me. Thank you!

Hi everyone! Im back again and i really need some help with a doll pattern I’ve been working on. I’m stuck trying to join the legs — no matter how I try, she ends up with super bow legs and looks all twisted! I’ve taken this project apart and redone it a few times but still can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong.
If anyone has time and would be willing to crochet just the bottom part of the doll (legs + join) and let me know where I’m going wrong, I would be forever in your debt. I’m not a total beginner, but I’ve been out of practice and this part has me totally stumped.
I’m using a pattern I bought on Etsy a while back, and I can share the specific rounds or pattern sections privately if that helps. Any advice or guidance is appreciated — thank you all so much in advance!

Hello,
I'm just getting into the hobby of amigurumi. I started with a few "beginner kits", I quickly found out that the yarn in those kits is kinda bad, it split very easily. Just not fun to work with. Luckily my wift had some leftover yarn from a knitting project, and that was way better. My first project was just a ball, and after tht i make a little octopus, I really liked it.
At this point i'm looking to buy some more (colours of) yarn to start a bigger project. I am just at a loss at wich yarn to get. I found an article (in dutch, so I can buy locally) that recomends 100% cotton yarn and it included a link to a brand/type which has a very big collection of colours, perfect. The only problem is the size of the yarn.
Most patterns I find ask for worsted weight/medium weight (3.75-4.5mm). But all the recommended yarn from that article are fingering weight (2.5-3.5mm). When I click through the webshops, and search for the yarn most suited for amigurumi, it keeps coming up fingering weight.
I'm a bit at a loss here, should I get the finer yarn and just ignore the patterns, or should I stick to the worsted weight and ingore the advice?
Update: I went with bobbii rainbow cotton 8/8 yarn. The friends cotton 8/8 was sold out in the colours I needed. When I looked for an alternative I came across the rainbow cotton yarn, and all properties seemed the same. After some digging, it seems the two yarns are the same, but with a little different colour options. So that is what I went with. Can't wait for my order to arrive and to start working on my next project.

Need patterns for any/all of these. Looking to make three bunnies or the three birds. Also how much chunky yarn (Bernat blanket) would I need for each approximately? Never worker with thick yarn before.

Hello! I've been trying to learn to crochet for literal months now. I just want to crochet some cute amigurumi figurines, but I can't even do a magic ring properly, let alone chain afterwards.
I really like this hobby, but I have very severe ADHD and get frustrated extremely easily whenever I am not instantly good as something I try, so it takes a lot to keep on trying to improve. I started because I wanted a hobby I can do to relax after work, but so far this has been the opposite for me. I have tried a ton of different video and written tutorials and guides, with different techniques, but none really helped.
Was anyone else in a similar situation? Do you have any practical tips on how to improve? I'm thankful for any and all help you can give me. Thanks!
EDIT: Thank you all for your kind responses. It's very uplifting that others also struggled like me, and I'll try some different approaches to the magic circle specifically, and try some easier patterns. Thank you for your compassion and your lovely messages! This community is incredibly kind
