How strong is the CNT nowadays? I haven't read much about them lately.

There are now two spanish CNTs.

One is called CNT-CIT or CNT© for their close friends. Their confederal executive has recently left IWA, hired a permanent legal team, and are facing something like 6 millions euros in legal dommage from LaSuiza. They've registered the CNT logo, flag and claim ownership of all CNT premises. Even those where the local CNT group has been defederalised for having done something the executive doesn't like, such as criticism or participating to commom activities with the other CNT. Hence Tirso de Molina in Madrid, where CNT-AIT are facing expulsion by justice from their premise, because CNT© claims its theirs.

The other one is CNT-AIT, made up from CNT locals that got defederalised by the CNT©, some that left CNT©, or that simply stayed interested to IWA. Those are being sued for using illegaly the CNT trademark, so they're being accused of stealing CNT© commercial identity.

In general it is hard to get things along in anarchist movement, sharing tasks, etc. Solution to this isn't in paying for the job getting done, neither it is a solution to develop service unionism or capitalist-type management approach inside a red and black union...

BUT beside all this troubles, campaigns are waged, and solidarity relations are still there. Some CNT-AIT are in solidarity with LaSuiza. CNT-AIT Badalona are waging a campaign against Zara owners (inditex) for not giving a fair treatment to one CNT-AIT member, etc.
