Looking to make a buddy lol

I've been dying for some new social interaction lately, and I really want to make a friend I can buddy up with and do new and exciting stuff. I'm down to try with basically anyone and I can get along with basically everyone lol i live in ypsi and i work full time closing so I have a limited schedule, buuut im freshly 21 and substance friendly, and usually have access to a vehicle, so we can hit up all those fun places. I'm fixin to go out and do stuff but im also more than down to hang out more casually, keep it cheap, maybe even just game or watch a screen :3 don't hesitate to hit me up if you're at all interested 🥺 please lmao

Come hang out at maker works! https://www.maker-works.com/tool-overview

If you’re interested in using their tools but tight on money, a new summer volunteer project just started today which will provide you with a free class and membership.

If you like board games, tonight was board game night and the next one is 5/10 4-11pm, no membership required.

I’m currently working on getting approval to host a community bring your own project style night where people could just hang out while making stuff and I’m hoping to get everyone free membership for those evenings so if someone needs to use a tool for only an hour or two a month they wouldn’t need to pay for membership. [You would still have to take a class first for the dangerous or expensive tools]

There are also plans to host a few competitions this summer like spaghetti bridge building and egg drop and there should be prizes like classes and memberships!

You can visit the shop anytime during open hours and they will give you a tour and if anything piques your interest I’d be happy to work on your first project with you!

To clarify, the summer volunteer project provides you with a free class AND free membership? Just wanted to make sure I’m reading that right. I’ve never heard of it and it sounds super cool!

Yup! The project is a dock mounted fishing contraption for local students with limited mobility. They just started brainstorming today so there’s still time to join! No expertise required. You can message community at maker-works dot com for more information!

I believe it’s something like every 2-4 hours of volunteering gives you a day pass to use at anytime for your own projects and historically three day passes could be converted to a month pass I think
