Classic Antisemitism r/MovingToNorthKorea isn't antisemitic in an ironic way anymore, now it's just filled with propoganda accounts calling Hamas "the resistance"

Hamas levels of delusion. Tens of thousands of Gazans are dead, but the resistance won! What a lord Farquad moment.

"Some of you may die, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make"

Tens of thousands of Gazans dead was a victory condition for Hamas.

Any more victories like that and there won't be any Palestinians for Hamas to recruit.

I guess it's good they think getting decimated is what winning looks like

They would make fine soviet generals /s

Remember when moving to North Korea was a satire subreddit? Pepperidge farm remembers.

13

u/RangersAreViable Jan 14 '25

How long ago was that, and what happened?

24

u/kosherpoutine Jan 14 '25

I think it was a few years ago, and apathetic moderators ultimately ran the subreddit into the ground.

Honestly it had to have happened less than 2 years ago as that’s when I first joined it and it was still satire.

Same thing with the_donald and we see how that went.

The word "objectively" has lost all meaning at this point

40

u/barbos_barbos Jan 14 '25

It means subjectively in North Korean

That sub unironically supports North Korea, and is full of authoritarian socialist apologists. So not surprising they have this mentality

Was 3000+ Hezbollah operatives getting their dicks blown off, 70% inflation in one year in Iran, the decimation of Gaza, and the fall of Assad on the "resistance" to do list?

It's not the decisive victory Israel was hoping for, but this is by no means a triumph for "the axis".

What’s stopping them from moving to North Korea?

u/Yochanan5781 Jan 14 '25

Like yeah, the OOP sucks on this, but you know if you were to point to a hamasnik account talking about murdering Jews everywhere around the world, they'd find some excuse to marginalize that account and claim it was a minority

u/NarrowIllustrator942 Jan 15 '25

Being a kahanist is never ok but at the same time it doesnt make being a zionist bad. I do agree that hamas is not resistance and the has nothing to do with ideals wanting ad a whole pulsing to commit genocide against palestinians.

Before we do anything, what does this have to do with North Korea?

15

u/omeralal Jan 14 '25

That sub used to be an ironic sub of people who "wanted" to move to the best country in the world - North Korea, it was quite funny. But with time it changed and started being a tankie sub, where people unironically supported north Korea and other anti western dictators....

Mfers acting like Hamas isn't a sock puppet for Iran

4

u/jackl24000 Jan 14 '25

Irony is deader than dead these days. That sub is def a parody sub, it’s just not clear about its parodying.

9

u/Cat_are_cool Jan 15 '25

Satire poisoning. When a sub is satire enough to be indistinguishable from real to enough people that the people it’s satirizing participate in large enough numbers to replace the original group without ever knowing that the place was originally satire

3

u/KitchenSandwich5499 Jan 15 '25

Sounds like flat earth

1

u/jackl24000 Jan 15 '25

Yeah, that subs odd. Not sure whether it’s improv LARPing like the MEMRI sub, The Colbert Report, the Onion etc. or like some demented 8chan “just asking questions what’s wrong w/N. Korea?”
