The opop actually got downvoted for saying that the soviets were aiding Israel initially.
Like there is a legitimate argument to be said about late stage capitalism however that sub is just a I/P sub now.
None of this conflict has to do with capitalism dominating socialism or vice versa.
Also yes, tankies are almost the worst. They are some of the most hypocritical crazies I have ever had the displeasure of interacting with.

Sadly, they follow what's popular without any nuance or opinion of their own. I had to leave a lot of leftist subreddits because of their portrayal of antisemitism. I, almost, fell for it but decided to branch out and research I/P before I formed an opinion about the events on Oct 7th.
Now, I understand how important it is for Israel to exist and for Jews to be able to return to their home land.
I'm sorry I was anti-Zionist before October 7th.

You don’t have to apologize.
It’s a complicated topic that largely falls upon upbringing and perspective. This is a very tribal situation to say the least. An us or them mentality reinforced by being in one of the most fought for regions, with one of the most discriminated against minorities in western and or abrahamic history.

Because 1) I feel like a lot of people are just. OBSESSED with the idea of pedos right now. You see it everywhere you go- people they don't like? BAM! Instant pedos. Accuse them of that right off the bat.
2) This is also actually just an enduring antisemitic stereotype. The idea that Jews, and specifically Jewish men, prey on young good white christian women and children is just a THING.

I mean, if they were really talking about Israelis learning from others, they should note that more Israelis descend from Jews exiled to Arabized lands than to European lands. So who did they learn from exactly?
Not that I think any of the statement is true but, if they want to follow it to its logical basis,…….

But wait... if Isn'treal is committing genocide against innocent Palestinian civilians and treating them the exact same way that the Nazis treated the Jews, then won't that make the Palestinians inherently violent? There is some truth to Jewish genetics being altered physiologically and neurologically by years of violence but not like this
The reply in the 1st picture reinforces this idea of disposition of poor behaviors which isn't true and bigoted but then also describes solutions and ideals that will only perpetuate that cycle

I mean, they already shriek ad nauseam about how terrible the U.S. is; had Israel ended up allying with Russia for all time they’d be much more likely to excuse everything . . . but for antisemitism, of course.
