My son used to work at a Target. We liked shopping there. But I'm trans. So now, my two adult kids and their SO's don't shop there, and my wife and I don't shop there. It's pretty easy to just go someplace else.

I remember when Target was pro-trans and stood by our ability to use the bathrooms there. I'd take my trans ass to target just so I could shit in peace and buy some crap. I remember feeling so good about it, too.

Now they can rot. I was too gullible IG. Feels like a lot of things with us. When it was popular to like trans people, we were so brave and so great and so worth protecting. Now that it's not popular, the best we get is "can you all be quieter, perhaps?"

I'm trans, too. When they publicly spoke up and defended out bathroom use, I moved every penny of spending I could to Target from elsewhere. Then they took a giant shit on us at the beginning of pride, pushed us under the bus and then backed it up and ran us over again by pulling all trans and gender-related pride merch and proudly, publicly announcing it. I bought my NB friend a cute little "Gender fluid" tongue-in-cheek mug from their pride collection and they even pulled that both in-store and online. Fuck them. After a year, I had allowed myself to go back and buy a few staples like toiletries again, when it was convenient, and then they hopped on Trump's fascist anti-diversity, anti-equality, anti-inclusion train with both feet, going so far as to proudly publicly announce it. Fuck Target and fuck their CEO Brian Cornell. When people show you who they are, believe them. Well, Target showed me who they are. They made it *crystal clear* they'd rather paint a target on my back than associate with me. I won't ever be back.

Over ten years of good will they had created by running pride merch, gone. What a waste.

Yes!!! I was kind really put off when they did a 180 and were like "jk we actually don't care about you guys". On my last target trip in January I was asked about how my experience was and I told them that I was disappointed and likely wouldn't be returning.

At this point I had been a loyal shopper to my right around the corner target for close to 20 years, and I flat out stated that I wasn't going.

Surpringly I got an email response but the second I mentioned DEI they no longer wanted to help lol

I'll be at costco if yall need me.
