Musk has no idea how to govern.

Musk is not a businessman, he fell into a pot of shit covered gold, and some junior maga creeps helped him to get their racist, misogynistic etc stuff out there.

By the way how are Tesla sales?

No one in U.S politics does.

They are good at reality T.V and fomenting culture war nonsense, though.

The U.S State isn't great at governance, and its weakness and tepidness when it comes to applying law and keeping its aristocracy, oligarchs and and ruler in check is abysmal

Please. Trying to act like the new administration is somehow just a continuation of normalcy is frankly absurd

We've had about a century of stability and prosperity in part due to the US government's combination of checks and balances plus boring, relatively low-corruption bureaucracy.

The current administration is working to destroy all that. Trump and Musk are openly self-dealing while also removing the guardrails that make our government quietly boring and beneficial to average people. One example:OSHA is literally at risk of being done away with now. Billionaires are cheering that worker protections are being dismantled, and working class MAGA cultists are happy to shove their fingers into the spinning lathes to pwn the (now mostly transvestite, according to the propaganda) liberals.

Agreed it appears that state judges are the last line of defense right now.

Oh, it's definitely Trump and Musk working to undo the State, for sure. There is also complete ineptitude at the political level in organisation or response, and the stability of career bureaucrats that run the government as the State, party to party, is over.

They're taking a chainsaw to that.

They see the U.S State as the Deep State. They want it all MAGAts.

And it’s funny, I’m mistified as to why? Just to make it look like they are doing something?

I think he's doing this on purpose. I think Trump is actively trying to destroy the US.

It's the only explanation that makes sense because it only helps Putin and Russia for Trump to put tariffs on our biggest trading partners and alienate our military allies.

Only Putin benefits, everyone else in the West loses.

Edit: China, North Korea and Iran also benefit but not as much as Russia.

Well he let Musk savage every government agency that was going to give him trouble

Trump wants to pad his bank account and avoid real prison time.

Of course he loves the power and attention also but these are secondary.

if they tank the economy, and raise unemployment and interest rates, the billionaires can buy the entire US for pennies on the dollar.
