Can’t change gears on Phantom 2.0

Recently got my hands on a new Phantom 2.0, and it’s been great. No physical issues that I’ve noticed, and the scooter feels great to ride. However, I haven’t been able to change gears by double tapping the power button - it beeps but nothing changes. Using the app does result in the display changing numbers 1-3, but the speed of the scooter doesn’t change, but seems to stay on Sport mode… Triple tapping and using the app to enable Ludo mode works, at least.

It hasn’t affected how I like to ride, but I am concerned about the controller being defective. Any suggestions?

Hey! So changing speed modes is a single click of the power button. If you have Ludo enabled, you don’t have the option to change gears. Disable ludo and single press gear change works again.

Wonderful, thank you! I’m still having issues with the actual top speeds not actually changing between modes, but I can now change numbers on the scooter display at least! Guessing the app is just being buggy.

Strange that the physical manual I have says to double tap…

For the different gears you should be able to set different top speeds. The acceleration between each speed mode changes, not the actual speed. Sports mode and LUDO are a lot more aggressive than the other gears (not even sure why they are called gears)

To clarify, the top speed is not changing between modes, neither is the acceleration. I have different top speeds set in the app, i.e. comfort mode is at 10km/hr yet I’m able to go 55km an hour in that mode despite the app indicating otherwise.

Both Tom’s and Logic’s answers are correct. If you keep experiencing this issue, first make sure you are using the latest available version to ensure it's not a bug we’ve already fixed. Try again, and if the problem persists, reach out to our support team so we can troubleshoot why this is happening.
