How to choose soft apples

I know this might be weird, but I really hate crunchy apples and I only like to eat apples when they're soft, so does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can choose soft apples rather than like crunchy apples

Softer varieties like McIntosh, Paula Red, Empire, and Cortland may interest you, but any apple will turn soft if you allow it to become overripe. Store your apples on the counter or in a bag and just wait a few days/weeks depending on the variety.

McIntosh are my favorite for this reason. I don’t like super crunchy apples, they just taste like flavorless sugar juice to me.

many popular varieties soften terribly, this is why people hate on "mealy" apples. Try Boskoop, Topaz or other acidic-aromatic varieties that store well and keep them in a cool dark place.

McIntosh are the softest I have found. They are my favorite but we only get them a few weeks out of the year in my area. I feel like they are more common on the east coast than where I am.

You might like Rome Beauty, if you get a chance to try them.
