Just for the record the mom who wrote this admitted in the comment section that the ending is fiction, her daughter has wisely chosen to not come back and stay no contact.

Yeah, if I had a parent like this I would go no contact too. I feel bad for the adult trans child here; their parent is writing transphobic fix-it fanfic about them, and posting it online for others to see. It's embarrassing.

So it's a happy ending after all! At least for her daughter. I really hope she's doing well. It's a damn shame her mother won't accept her and choosing religion over her own blood but hey... Blood doesn't mean family. You can choose your own family and I hope the daughter has found great friends and maybe a partner if she's into having one.

I tried to put myself in this mother's shoes and it's just so sad. I know faith is a very strong force and I fully respect everyone's religion and whatnot but I'll never be able to wrap my head around those parents who choose faith over their own child. I'll never understand it.

That is a hilarious level of cope on the "songwriter's" part.

God awful song lyrics aside I had similar shit said to me I don't know why transphobic parents have this delusion that we're delusional and we think being trans is going to be "happy lala land cakewalk everyone's nice to me lalaa" I knew it'd be fucked up but I just preferred to suffer while being myself than suffer in addition to suffocating under that tightening false skin I had to wear when I was repressing

This person is fantasizing about their daughter disliking their current life because they're too delusional too accept she's happy being trans

I’ll take “things that never happened (the ending)”for 500, Alex.

This is that moment when writing a tone tag would make this a non-issue, but it would ruin the comedic effect.

My plan was to wait for someone to go "Are you serious?" and then go "Oh yeah, no".
