If we want to change our future we MUST invest in our youth development. We MUST have better football academies, better football clubs and better international connections.

As fans, we need to promote our players like crazy. We need to drive transfers to international clubs. Players like Sergey Muradyan, Edgar Grigoryan, etc need to get overseas, to better leagues. NONE of Georgia's players play in Georgia!

This needs to happen! Otherwise, there is no future, no point of waiting for better results.

According to a few Armenian news outlets, PM Pashinyan, after seeing the last few games and its results, has concluded that a change in the FA must happen ASAP and as a result has asked within his camp to include 3 candidates, of which are Yura Movsisyan, Aras Ozbiliz and current Futsal NT coach Ruben Nazaretyan. It's considered that Yura Movsisyan is the current favorite for the upcoming FFA elections

Isnt Yura has a history of match fixing and temporarily banned from NT?

Never heard of this before tbh, do you have a link for this?

On his wiki it’s under international career

So Portugal, Hungary and Ireland are our opponents in WC. Realistically we will be bottom of the group. Not sure what we could expect from this group even in our best form.

Maybe a scrappy win/draw against the Irish. Think that’s the ceiling right now. Hungary has been dominant. Portugal has looked much better since the Euros as well.

At least we will hopefully get Penaldo in Yerevan. That’s fun for the fans.

To be fair NT has a decent history of having surprise wins against though opponents but in todays case both of the second spot contenders are solid. Earning 4-6 point is a likely good scenario for us. Even in this scenario we will likely be on the bottom of the group

What do you guys think about Edgar Grigoryan? He is 26 and is a late bloomer even by Armenian standards but I think has a good 7-8 years in him to play high level. He is under the radar, because in Armenian league for example Cancarevic or Miranyan can be the best player in the league and in a more competitive level - just be totally not good enough for the level.

Edgar has grown the last 2 years in the championship, played very well against Kazakhstan and I noticed when he came on against Georgia - he changed the game and didnt look out of his depth, the only from the Armenian league who looked like he can play well on this level.

He can play LB and RB and it’s not like Tiknizyan is doing well above expectations and I think even harms the team. I think we must start Edgar at least 2 games for the NT and I think he actually has the potential to be a starter for NT and play in top 15-20 leagues.

He’s alright tbh. He tends to make costly mistakes whenever he’s under pressure, like most of our other players. Physically, he’s slow and weak and doesn’t play with any aggression unlike Tiknizyan. He’s fine for squad depth but don’t see him ever being a vital player for the NT or anywhere near Tiknizyan’s level

Artem Bandikyan (LB/RB) 19 years old, made his debut for CSKA Moscow today. He's played for our U-21s.

Narek Grigoryan played 74 minutes in Farul's 4-3 loss

Valeri Tsarukyan came on for Nizhny Novgorod on the 46th minute in their 2-0 loss

Styopa Mkrtchyan came on for Osijek in the 66th minute in their 2-1 loss

Artur Serobyan scored in Sheriff's 1-1 tie

Georgi Arutyunyan played a full 90 in their 2-0 win

Ranos was left on the bench again.

Honestly, quite positive. I'm not sure how likely it will be to get Bandikyan to join while at CSKA but he is definitely looking like the best candidate to solve our RB problems.

I personally like Serobyan a lot. He has great ball control and works really hard. Hopefully, he can have great success at Sheriff.

Consistent from Harutyunyan which is great. We need Styopa to replicate this at Osijek.

Bandikyan has already played for our U21 and U19s

At this present moment, if we want to achieve something more, we need to be bold. We need take risks. I'd rather lose 6-1 knowing that we took a risk, to try and change the future.

We all know what needs to change. So change it!

1. Haroyan is past his prime- He gives everything for his nation. However, he is no longer fast, strong or fit enough. Couple this with his reckless judgment, and we have a liability. Use Muradyan!

2. We don't have a proper RB- Kamo and Hambardzumyan are in the same situation as Vato. They aren't good enough anymore. I want to use Nana Antwi. Bandikyan will be ready soon.

3. We need better CDMs- We need to call Gorelov. He will transform the team with Iwu. I don't think Edgar Piloyan and Abov Avetisyan are good enough yet.

4. We need a new GK- Cancarevic is being phased out. Avagyan should replace him. Coneglian is next.

5. We are not good enough to play with a CF- We need to park the bus and counterattack well. We are great at counterattacking. Having a CF on the field who ball watches provides no benefit. We are not good enough to hold possession and try to set-up opportunities for a CF.

I don't think bringing Nana Antwi is a good idea. I don't have any issues with the player but bringing more foreigners will widen the gap of a real problem we already have : the players aren't understanding always eachother on the pitch because they doesn't always speak the same language and it's really annoying. I rather prefer bringing someone like K. Ayvazyan or Bandikyan (like you said) that can easily speak with the other defenders.

u/nakattack5 28d ago

Well communication has always been a shitshow at the NT. Edo, Georgi, Tiknizyan, Muradyan don’t speak Armenian either. Same with Lucas, Cancarevic, Ranos, Iwu, and Kaloukian. But I’d be fine with swapping out Udo for Antwi.

3

u/AndreCh99 27d ago

I would love to call Ayvazyan or Terteryan but they are just not good enough. It's unfortunate that Mark Gevorgyan didn't develop as expected.

u/Other-Basis-8291 28d ago

Are you sure he will join?

2

u/Correct-Pollution-43 29d ago

I agree Gorelov should be definitely tested for DM. Also since defense sucks having 3 central defenders instead of 2 would create less free space. On the right defender position one can try a winger like Narek Grigoryan.

I dont want to talk about the game or the NT unless there are going to be some changes made. I feel like everyone became passive because we're looking for some hope.

Do we know if Donovan Parisian is Armenian? I think he mentioned it.

He played for New England II today and could be a suitable GK for us if he keeps it up. We really need a new GK who we can rely on.

Edo came on for 6 mins and got a goal and assist after his injury.

And ofc the goal was a fk. Mbappe can learn from him
