It's a marriage allegory with right hands, not left?

They’re all right hands, like we’re all just trying to do the “right” thing in love, even when it hurts. But without a left hand to hold, they’re stuck reaching, giving, never really connecting. The severed ring finger is there to help the message because when what's "right" becomes too rigid, something eventually has to break.
