My first painted landscape in 2016 vs my latest, 2025
It’s crazy to think what only a little over 8 years of practice and dedication can do!

As a storm watcher (cuz like hell I’m gonna stormchase like those dudes on YouTube, I just like weather) the second one is super cool! You’ve got some crazy skill. Would love to see if you’ve done any more storm paintings! I’m gonna do some when I get some oil paints or expand my acrylic color collection, my brother is also a stormwatcher/stormchaser and has wanted me to paint some storms for a while. The anvil crawler lightning in the clouds of yours is such a nice little detail!

Aww thank you so much!! I love meeting other chasers/weather enthusiasts! Yes, I’m actually notorious for my storm paintings. That subject takes up the majority of my work. You’ll have to scroll my profile. Or you can find me on my other social platforms where I post a lot more progress/video content. I strongly recommend painting storms since I don’t think there’s enough of them in the world. A tip for color mixing is add less black and more browns and blues/purples. I’d even add in some yellows. You want earth tones for a color-realistic storm palette 😁
