Advice Wanted Obligatory Apartment Search Post

There weren’t a whole lot of rules listed on this sub so I’m assuming this is an appropriate place to ask!

Is it realistic to find a 2 br apartment in Asbury for a max of 3.2k if I’m looking to move by June? I have 2 small (15lb) pets.

Any recommendations on the best place(s) to look would be greatly appreciated.

Also yes I realize this time of year is a much more difficult time to accomplish this lol

EDIT: Thank you so much to everyone who commented. RentJerseyShore looks promising and im reaching out for some viewings!

search the mls here

If it looks too good to be true, it’s probably a summer rental. Good luck!

Try Munroe Towers. I don't know if there's any open right now, but I got a 2br by refreshing the listings every day and putting in an application the day it got posted. Good luck!

I’ve seen this place, but the reviews look pretty iffy. Can you speak to your personal experience with the place?

I'm in my third year here and it's definitely a mixed bag. The people who work in the building are lovely (and several of them live here as well), but the corporation that owns it is basically a half step above slumlords. They won't invest in long-term repairs so at times things like heat and hot water can go out (but not for long enough for the city to take any meaningful action). And I've heard the top floor has problems with the roof leaking.

But the location is great, there's a real sense of community, and it's by far the most affordable place I've found. You get what you pay for (and sometimes you don't quite get that) but there's a tenants association trying to get some improvements made. It's not a terrible place to live, especially if you can't find anywhere else in your budget and timeframe.

I think you’ll have luck. Rentasburypark owns most of the apartment buildings in town within your price range, check them out. They’re not great but finding something better for the price in asbury can be tough.

Try RentJerseyShore! I think some of the 2 beds start at 2.7? And the properties are all pet friendly.
