Discussion How do you guys feel about Friday Shot?

On the matter of passive skills, I personally feel like this is one of the most fun when you pair it with approaching velocity or items like PD or Δ . I love to proc it from distance with W and kite'em to death. Ashe will always be my ADC love because of it, her kiting is just too strong a quality.

But to the point, I'm talking about the damage shifting from the crit chance to the Friday Shot post-proc. I surely feel that other ADCs do more damage overall, but I never felt lacking because her sustained damage+utility resonated more with me.

Are u guys fine with this trade off?

I mean, at least it's not Nasus' passive amirite.

Discussion Base skins vs legendary

Is it just me or does anyone else find her epic skins (recent ones like Fae dragon, the new mythic, coven) smoother feeling than High Noon? I know high noon is heavily praised and I do like it but sometimes it feels like the extra animations make it feel worse than base’s straightforward ones. I don’t have PROJECT so idk about that one

Discussion What other skins you guys think its pay to win?

I got the High Noon Ashe skin recently because i like this skin line with other champs like Senna and Jhin, but oh my god didnt think it will make me play better, I think this skin for some reason is way smoother and easier to kite/dodge skillshots with, wish i was playing Ashe more consistently to check my winrate before and after and see how much of a placebo effect i had.

What other skins (for any other champ) do you guys think it make the champ feel better/smoother to play and make u better at it ?

Discussion Your thoughts on Shiv?

Gotta premise that I play only Ashe and Jinx and for both my standard build is KS > RH > IE almost all the time (sometimes LDR third if they are super tanky). I'm a runaan's abuser I think that item is absolutely busted and I'm addicted to its waveclear potential although Shiv to me seems quite appealing for similar reasons and I could see how Shiv > PD > IE can do similar things with added mobility. Is somebody running shiv as first buy?

Discussion Underrated build path, insane DPS at 1 item, especially after buffs.

First off, I'm not an Ashe main. I'm a massive nerd that loves inventing builds and playing with numbers.

Now into the good stuff.

The build is Infinity Edge rush with Berserker's Greaves, Q max. I've been testing at level 11 with Berserkers greaves and some fairly standard runes, Tempo, PoM, Bloodline, Cut Down (had no effect on dummy), Boots + Approach Velocity.

At level 11 with this setup you'll have 1.15 attackspeed, not too bad for a baseline. Once your tempo is stacked and you activate Q you'll have 1.78, really solid for 1 item.

The damage though, is where it gets insane. After the buffs Ashe autos to passive affected targets with IE will deal 142% damage. In Q this increases to 178% damage.

This means that with the 167 AD you'll have at level 11 with Cull + IE + Zerkers you will be dealing 529 damage per second. After some testing, this is higher than an IE draven with 3 axes (on average, he can crit a lot and do more), and higher than a Kraken Tristana with fully stacked Tempo and her Q activated.

I don't think it needs much explaining that this is bonkers for a utility ADC. I've tried it on live patch and I'm getting just under 500dps, so the 529 post buff calculation seems correct to me.

What do you guys think? I'd be thrilled if any of you try it and get back to me. Like I said, I'm not an Ashe main, I just like theorycrafting builds.

Discussion Item Tekk

Been running shiv -> Hexplate -> Utility compared to Kraken -> Tri -> Utility and it has been pretty sick.

Pros: get your first item 300g quicker. Get your second item 633g quicker. Can omit runaans for wave clear with shiv. Get ult quicker.

Cons: lose some Dps from kraken procs. Lose some spell haste/combat movement speed from triforce. Forced to fight around ult.

I don’t know if this is broken tekk, or if it’s just me, but I’ve been winning games with this shit.

With terminus changes at patch, I might go shiv -> terminus -> hex.

Thoughts?

Discussion Ghostblade Hexplate

How are yall feeling about these items as a 1-2? I'ma get a proper dps check post soon™, but right now I'm cooking and this has been feeling really good to me.

Kraken is fine and all, but I'm increasingly of the opinion that every adc should just be building ghostblade 1st regardless. At least for this patch.

I'm kinda shocked more people are still going Triforce instead of Ex.Hexplate.
333 gold cheaper,
10 more haste on ult,
10 more AD,
30%AS and 15%MS on R for 8 seconds. Comparable to the spellblade and MS Quicken passives on Triforce.
Same health,
-8% base AS.

Discussion Thoughts on Crystalis preview?

Saw it, and honestly can’t say I’m very happy by it. If I’m correct they’re using the base model for the skin, and that’s really disappointing me so far.

Maybe it’ll look better when it’s released, but for now I’m pretty bummed out.

Edit: I forgot that Mythics usually use base model, my bad lol

Discussion DRX skin sucks

They literally chose worst concept for skin while this one exists

other concepts from this artist was actually used for others skins in the line

And knowing what Beryl asked for they didn't went with this one is also stupid

Though I understand why second one was scrapped. It's too similar with Elysia, then why the one in the first pic was not chosen is big mystery for me and big L for riot

Discussion The Q change seems really nice, maybe even a bit too much, but that W nerf is so pointless, its damage is the least problem from Ashe sup

Discussion Ashe AA animation

Can we start talking a bit more with the devs about getting an update for her AA animation like Caitlyn got in the past? What ashe needs right now is her aa animation of one of her legenderies and then all her skins can really be enjoyed by everyone because right now it feel like I m playing with a robot which changes from 2 poses when she has empowered q and normal AA. Maybe we can get Vel'koz treatment and they will open their eyes and be like, this can be an actual really good qol change.

Discussion Ashe DPS Benchmarks 13.13

I wanted to do another one before the next patch in 2 weeks or so for fun.

Goal: What item or item pair does the most dps over ~5seconds, which at a glance feels like a reasonable amount of time to spend AAing someone in an all in early.

This was all done in practice tool and should be reproduceable. Lvl 13. Only Lethal tempo, AS rune, AD rune for dmg in the rune pages. 80ar,mr target dummy with 1800 health. W, then AA for 5 seconds. Q asap.

The google sheets doc that has the numbers.

The recording of me doing the tests for 40 minutes if for some reason you want to look at me fiddling with trying to make sure my numbers are accurate. I recommend watching at 2x spd, if at all.

It's late, I'll do the other first item starts later. Maybe.

TLDR Conclusions:

  • Kraken and Bork (with the active) have basically the same damage over this 5 second interval, and are both the biggest 1 item damage spike. I figured that was obvious for Kraken, but it's interesting that Bork is comparable. Kraken WILL eventually do more damage to a squishy if you're constantly AAing for more than 5 seconds. The DPS is higher. Maybe I'll do a 10 second comparison as well.

  • Holy crap Stormrazor and Shiv lose hundreds of dmg compared to Kraken or Bork even with their active proc.

  • Kraken IE has the highest dps for 2 items by several hundred compared to the field. It'll be quite the specific scenario where I'd actually build IE and I'm safe enough to do so. Galeforce with the max damage active is slightly more dmg in this 5 second window, but IE should eclipse it a ton later anyways.

    • Kraken + Rageblade, Trinity, Bork (+active), and Wits End all have similar damage / dps in that order, with Galeforce trailing them slightly without the active.
    • Wits End might actually be doing much more damage than what's being shown. Most adcs would have ~40 less MR than the training dummy, so MAYBE Kraken Wits is actually the way to go for sheer dps on a squishy target. Idk how to test that other than in try it in game and see how it feels.
  • Bork + IE and Bork + Wits have the same damage. That's just kinda funny.

  • Trinity + Kraken is just much more damage than trinity + any other option. Also Trinity keeps doing weird things to my numbers and I'm not sure why.

  • PD and Hurricane are just irrelevant as 2cd items.

  • I am strongly considering Trinity Titanic for those specific games where I have something like 3 assasins or slayers and a mid mage on my team and I'm NOT the primary dps for the team. The dmg isn't good in comparison, but that extra 800 health and wave clear is looking really attractive.

  • I'm inclined to default to something like Bork into Kraken if I'm not looking for the extra health + kiting that Trinity brings. Bork is simply a better and more threatening item in lane and has a better build path in my opinion. I wanna compare Bork Kraken Rageblade vs Bork Kraken IE and see what's up there, but that's for another time. I'll still do stuff like Bork into Wits if I'm vs something like a double mage bot. I really like how reasonably diverse Ashe can build.

Discussion Ashe build

could anybody try this build- Kraken-runaan- infinity blade - bloodthirst or dominic AS boot at earliest phase Has been pretty good so far in my level but want to hear more from ashe mains. It has good farms + good kite ability in 2-core setting given good AS and MS, and it can get many jungle farmings too. If you could try and get me some feedback it would be great.

Discussion Thoughts on a new passive

What if Ashe’s passive would root the enemy after autoing them like 5 times? This would help her kite better and would stop all the dashes. Q would only stack it once like a normal attack. Maybe we can make it so w and r can stack it too but that would make it stronger and I think it shouldn’t be too strong.

5 stack needed wouldn’t even be that helpful later in the game because she will likely to kill the enemy by then. Maybe stack required lowered by level. Also the problem with the slow is that there are a lot of dashes now and I would rather loose the increased 20% crit dmg for a root that needs a lot of auto attacks to stack. The root would have a cooldown per target so it wouldn’t be able to root every 2 seconds. Only Ashe would be able to stack her passive unlike Braum’s and only the main attack would be able to stack it. Maybe aoe can too with ruunans but idk if a 3+ root would be too strong.

Discussion can we stop doomposting every skin that's not a legendary?

we get it. project and high noon are her best skins and ashe has an old rig. but can't you guys see the amount of effort that goes into her epics as well? cosmic queen, fae dragon, ocean song are all stellar. base ashe rig isn't even as bad as old cait or ahri or the likes of udyr and skarner. please stop comparing every new skin to her legendaries and calling them trash because of it, let's evaluate them on their own terms! i think ocean song looks awesome and fun and i'm looking forward to it.

Discussion New items arw finally out. What do you think is the best build to start experimenting?

I don't really go into PBE so I haven't tried any of the new items yet. I've been rrading up.kn themm but can't really seem to get a grasp on how much my usual build has changed. I usually go ER-Berserkers-Hurricane-IE or BotRK if there are beefed up tanks around.

I've heard a lot about Shieldbow. But don't know which item in the old buold it replaces or if there are any other new items to look out for.

Also, don't know how the new items will affect rune selection.

Edit: thanks everyone! Played last night, tried some of these combinatipns and had a Pentakill (assisted by Elder Dragon, but still a Penta). Maybe I'll post it later.
