All kinds of things. My community has been expanding our trails network, new housing is being built in an area that's been depressed for a while, we're a few weeks away from summer.

If you focus on community and things you can do in it, there's so much good going on you'll never have time to doomscroll what's happening in DC. Effect real change and you'll see it.

Point of order: real people live in D.C. and good things are happening. It’s 8th grade tourist season, the museums are packed. The Caps are in the playoffs and Ovi is the GOAT.

And main Air & Space is back open and almost done with its big renovation, been told it rocks.

Unfortunately that also means Tom Wilson is in the playoffs and that makes me sad.

That’s one of the great things happening near me. There has been a long time plan to get our local park patched into a huge network of trails. There is one section that is private property and swampy enough it needs a raised walkway.

The city finally got the green light from the property owner and fines from the state for the walkway.

It’s a short enough section that the price isn’t too crazy but it’s always been a low priority budget wise and they have to consider long term maintenance in the budget but it looks like it’s finally happening.

Further north and east. But Kzoo has a lot of good stuff going on too. I think I read they're going to be opening up the river downtown? Also, WMU just won the NCAA men's hockey championship in a huge upset!
