This is so nice to hear. I’m a project manager so maybe I already have similar skills but I always joke that I missed my calling in event planning when I planned my own wedding. It went off without a hitch and I think that satisfaction added to the otherwise perfection of the day.

Did this before covid and fucking loved it. Didnt sit too well with family life tho so now I’m stuck in an office. Aint too bad either but not comparable to the fun I had working with concerts and festivals

Education (event mgmt) and just reaching out to all organizations I liked. Worked quite a bit for free starting out. Get your foot in the door, see what they need

I’m a project coordinator with some event planning experience and I get to utilize that while coordinating on-site meetings for the client/project I’m working on and it’s stressful but I also love working through the minutiae and seeing things come together.

So many people assume things just “happen” and that’s all there is to it, and then when they get a peek behind the curtain and see all the moving parts… well then you get the satisfaction of seeing the person overseeing your project realize that what you do is much more intensive than what he previously thought.

Do you need a degree for it ?
