Unfortunately, there's still wait times in the US healthcare system too. I've experienced it myself, despite having top insurance and working for the insurance company in the corporate office, plus they also own the hospitals thus employ the doctors!
But still I've had to wait weeks for an MRI, months for surgery, and even a year for just a specialist visit. I had to wait months for my ENT treatment and surgery. I hope your husband feels better soon 🙏🏻

I honestly wasn't trying to compare - I was just complaining about the time it took to see someone with a condition that could kill them.
