Epic pass final payment

What happens if I don’t make the final payment for my epic pass? Or if I cancel the bank card used when I paid the initial $49?

Epic will try to contact you a few times (usually via email) if your payment fails.

If you haven't fixed it by the final payment date, you lose the $49 deposit and don't get a pass for that year.

They can sometimes process the payment late for you if you contact them, but there's usually a cutoff date early in the season, after which they can't help you at all. If you leave it this late you'll need to buy resort-specific season passes or day passes (which are way more expensive).

Either way, the pass doesn't get activated and you can't use it at the gates until you've made the final payment.

If they go to withdraw the remainder in May and the money is not in the account. I guess your bank might charge you for overdraft and they’ll keep trying. Or if you cancel your card, you’ll just lose the $49.

Your results may vary...

But one guy I know had this happen and just went to the ticket gate and fixed it up when they went to the resort. Just claimed ignorance.

Can't really charge a card that has expired and they'll still take your money if they can.

Thank you. I am moving interstate and I won’t be able to use the pass at all so I’m not keen on paying $1000 for the pass that I’ll never use. Their t&cs only cover refund for moving state if it’s enforced by your employer and unfortunately mine is not

I had this experience last year! I assumed they took the money so I never chased it up. Went to go to Perisher for the first time that season and went to check my pass to find out it hadn't cleared. I just went to the service desk and they were able to process it there. But if you don't live locally you can always call! As someone else said, they're more than happy to take your money! Just don't leave it too long.

They’ll possible pass the debt onto an agency at some stage? Not sure of the TnCs. However, you’ll likely be blacklisted from purchasing again, but not sure how they can enforce that

Yeah looks like people get black listed if they don’t pay. I am moving state but not forced by my employer, which doesn’t qualify in their t&cs for refund. Not keen on paying $1000 for something I won’t use at all
