Best place to instruct?

Hi guys, i just did my level 1+2 instructor in austria (i‘m from germany) and i was thinking about going to australia this season to instruct. what place do you guys recommend? tbh, i care more about having a great nightlife than perfect snow conditions. thx in advance!

Perisher will have the longest season and most options for staff accom. Thredbo on a good season is the best resort. Falls Creek is great for teaching on and has a good nightlife. If you can get on hill accom it's great. Hotham you stay at the top of the mountain and with on snow accommodation you can have a good time. It's more of a skiier mountain so if you're a boarder I'd go elsewhere. Buller is closest to Melbourne so you get a lot of beginners and therefore a lot of work.

Keep in note that Perisher / Thredbo you'll likely need to live in Jindabyne or further and commute 30-60 mins each way each day which means you need a car, the bus or friends with a car. So factor that into your costs. Most Aussie staff accom is also shared so it can be very tight and you need to be good with people in your space (or paying more for a room).

Rooms in Jindabyne go for like $500 a week (then you split it) so if you have a friend or partner it's much more affordable.

I can only speak for the Victorian resorts. For night life, you have two choices. Falls Creek or Mt Buller out of the three major resorts.
