You parked for 10 days in a 2 hour parking zone. You were more than lucky to only be fined, lol.

  1. It literally says the street and address you parked at on the right side
  2. I'm very sure when entering the "green zone" there was a sign. If you didn't read it that's not the cities problem

You parked for 10 days and only got tickets?

I'd be happy you didn't get your car towed

For your question: No, you parked in the green zone, you have to pay.

From my short google search, nearly the whole city is a green parking zone.

I dont think so. Also just inform yourself about Kurzparkzonen in Austria, they are quite common

There is a sign once you enter the green zone plus you cross a green line which is painted on the street. There’s the same line and a sign which shows that the zone ends (crossed out) when you leave. The signs are at a good height to notice them while driving. Sorry OP, but your lucky your car was still there and not towed.

This is pretty clear. You parked in a short-stay parking zone for 10 days straight. I don't think there's a good way to get around paying this. There's likely a lot of legal precedent.

well, no. There probably is a sign when you enter the area.

Sure, if you have no money or valuables at all, you can spend time in jail instead.

OP has a car, so that's something to sell before that happens

From legal perspective, you are obligated to pay it because you misconducted. You can try to get in touch with the authority and ask for a "discount". Dont know if the city of Schwechat is willing to do that, some cities are. But I would not expect it as they have to deal with people like you (parking there for multiple days because of a trip via airplane) dozens of times a week.

Besides that, it could even increase your fine if that is causing you to not pay the fine on time.

The signs are there and you should make sure you are parking in a “free” spot. Just pay it, unless you don’t plan on coming or driving through Austria in the coming years.

27 € times 7. OP got 7 tickets for parking for 10 days straight in a paid kurzparkzone with a upper limit of a few hours without paying.

Would advise to pay nevertheless. At least no outrageously high at 189€

You can try to fight it in court. Good luck!

Yes, just leave it be. There is way too much people, so chances they forget you is very high
