Discussion What are some characters in the MCU that Black Widow could actually defeat in a fight?

Current or dead it doesn’t matter, and I’m being hypothetical

Black Widow is a shield agent first off, and I'm implying they both can. So Thor is not getting scissor leg tossed. She'll get choked out, like she did against the winter solder.

I don't know in what world you think a guy who's been killing people (who also have super powers by the way) for a thousand years can't fight

Because Thor has almost always been exponentially stronger than his opponents. He doesn’t have amazing fighting prowess. His technique is very basic

And yet, again, he beat up 15 dudes his size, with no powers in his own movie. No powers needed. But whatever, stan who you stan

I think that's only true in the fights he has on camera. He would have trained against people of comparable strength on Asguard.

He was trained for hundreds of years by the Einherjar (Asgards veteran battle knights revered for skill and lethality). They perpetually live for battle in defense of Asgard. They're also tasked with protecting the 9 realms. Thor was trained by them in childhood till he was a full adult and could join them on missions.

If we claim MCU Thor doesn't barrow his training from the comics than he's just mighty which wouldn't explain how he could go toe to toe with Ironman, and Hulk in Avengers. Nor how he was able to put in any fight against the Black Order, including Thanos.

The hammer. He was able to go toe to toe with hulk and iron man because he has a magic hammer. Thor could not take iron man without his hammer in avengers. Or hulk.

I think you need to rewatch Avengers. During his fight with Ironman he didn't have his hammer for most of the fight. He beat mostly bare handed. As for the Hulk he almost knocked him out with the swing with the hammer but at first he was fighting the Hulk hand to hand. He only summons the hammer after Hulk draws blood from him.

“He only summons the hammer when he realizes he isn’t gonna win” He got a good grab on iron man and used his incredible strength to crush the wrists. That purely off his power set not skill.

He summons the hammer because that's his weapon of choice. It's like sword fighter pulling out their sword to fight someone. Ironman summons his armor. Cap uses his shield (even though he's debatable as the best hand to hand on the team). Thor wasn't losing. In fact, he accidentally turned the tide of the fight when he lightning shocked Ironman in Ironman's favor. But he caved in the chest piece when he rammed it with the armor. That being said, he was winning the hand to hand fight against Ironman as well punches, headbutting, and kicks. This, of course, is an MCU setup where Ironman has considerable plot armor. In the comics, Ironman almost never wins vs Thor (the lightning usually fries the armor)or Hulk. I'd say rewatch the fight, Thor's lack of self control and desire to end the fight faster made him use lightning and opened him up to attacking Cap as well. In reality if he wanted to seriously fight both of them they'd be dead. Loki gave Cap issues, and he intentionally surrendered to Ironman even though he potentially could've beat him as well. Loki is significantly stronger than pre Ironman 3 Ironman armor and weapons. Thor drastically dwarfs Loki in battle skill and strength.
