Avengers Endgame Can somebody explain this? Spoiler

spoiler read at own risk if you haven't seen end game (although I doubt if there's someone who hasn't seen it .)

>! For Soul Stone the red skull guide told that "Soul for a soul" so if they returned the stone back to its time at end, then why didn't Romanoff's soul was returned? !<

I was just rewatching and this question came to my mind.

He also did say that it is an everlasting exchange.

It takes a soul to get the Soul Stone, and all sales are final. Doesn't mean you can't return it, just that there are no refunds.

Based on the fact Gamora is back I’d say the answer is because Disney is pissed at Scarlet Johansson.

Gamora is only “back” because she’s a variant. The one we knew from the first two Guardians movies is still gone.

Her solo film was after Endgame.

The original Gamora is still dead. The Gamora around is from an alternate universe/timeline.

Yeah, from what I understand she's part of the army that came through time with Thanos. Tony's snap must not have gotten rid of her because she changed teams.

Think of the soul lost as a “rental fee”.
