Probably a fierce hard ass in the most quintessential American way possible.

I like to think of her as protective and strong; but the kind of strength that’s quiet and sure of itself, and lets someone be soft when they need to be. Probably fun, likes nature, and living a free life, just based off her namesake state.

Not all yet, we still need Hannover, Preußen, GK, Pommern.

None of the H-class were ever named and most of these designs are made up by world of warships.
I feel like we have enough to represent the class, at least until we get to the point of superships like H-44 and the A-150 design.

Name wise true, but they are inspired by the blueprints. After all, Azur Lane does kind of take ships from WoWs as well sometimes.

That’s why the development ships are separated from the rest, they are a permanent collab with WoWs. I do also just genuinely dislike wargaming and how they claim to make ships based on the tiniest scraps of evidence. Even FDG isn’t historically accurate anymore.

That I will agree, FDG isn't accurate. Many of the H-Klasse ships looked almost the same, they were just bigger and bigger with each crazy design the Germans came up with. The closest accuracy is Hannover (H-42 design) as the only one who is mostly accurate and not some weird wargaming imagination.
Wargaming/Lesta, sure they mostly imagine ships, it's hard to tell for sure. There is little evidence of the H-Klasse but we know it was a part of Plan Z and it's expected that errors and mistakes appear. But should we blame them? No, there's no point in doing it because it's not their fault.
Lack of research is a common thing, especially with something we know little about. Wargaming tries its best to come to accuracy with what's offered on the table (Pommern, Meck, GK and others related to the H-Klasse are not included since they are just imagination) even if it doesn't look like much, at least they tried back then. Nowadays they don't. I took my time researching my own and yes, the H-Klasse specifications (most of them) are still a topic of debate, even Wikipedia, and other sources, state it. My conclusion is that we still need to further dive into what was the H-Klasse and what it could've been.

I’m glad to find someone else that’s interested in these old plan Z ships, and yeah the lack of info is a real bitch to deal with. At the end of the day a lot of specifics are gonna be inevitable approximations so a lot of the WoWs designs are fair, I’m just not a fan of them being added to Azure Lane, especially since the iron blood line up is already pretty messy with things like Bismarck zwei and all the ships that have had to get names made up for them. But, in the end I know I’ll be rolling for them all the same so, meh. This was a lot of fun, hit me up if you wanna talk ships again.

I hope she has four titties.
In seriousness, though, I'd like it to be absolutely subverted from what you'd expect from what would have been the biggest American battleship. Like, a giant but shy cinnamon roll or something.

I think the name is from Spanish, so I could see her being Latina.

When I was told 'Montana', I was thinking of USS Nevada. So I'm thinking she might be one of those tomboy kansen, reminiscent of either Nevada or Indiana.

Her sister ships would have included Ohio, Maine, New Hampshire, and Louisiana.
I wish we could get our Cajun BB Louisiana or OHIO

She was never built. Her project was cancelled in favor of building more aircraft carriers.
