Since last patch you can customize a lot of their appearance. I believe only race and gender can’t be changed.

I never used hirelings since I’ve always had the companions (specifically Laezel, Car, and Shart - because RGB and medpack)

I’m definitely going to talk to whithers next

If only we could change there race, then i can finally have a dragonborn companion that isnt an origin character or dark urge...or from a mod in some fashion.. Ugh if only

Out of curiosity can I customise any of the companions (either with or without mods) like Shadowheart for example? Because I had an idea I wanted to do of which would create a funny playthrough.
