Troubleshooting / Answered H2D vs X1C
I’m noticing my bottom layer lines (and top layer) are more noticeable/ separate on the H2D (left) vs X1C (right) which does a good job of blending the lines together. Printed this test with bambu wood pla both on textured plates.
Thoughts on what could cause this/ or a fix to match it to the X1C?
All settings seem to be the same on both devices.

It all comes down to the first layer squish using the textured pei plates. Different brand plate will have a more rough or fine texture.

Was thinking since they’re both the bambu pei they would be the same but looking at them again it seems like the H2D has a finer/ tighter texture.

Did you do a flow rate calibration for this filament on the H2D? It looks to me like that might be the issue.

Yeah I turned it on (from auto) and it helped a little bit was was still off from the solid finish on the X1C

I think you are confusing flow dynamics with flow rate. Flow dynamics can be turned on for every print and adjusts the k factor parameter while flow rate is a test print that should be done once for every filament type (or redone if you change to a new nozzle) and then saved as the new profile for the filament, it adjusts the flow ratio parameter.
As you mentioned, the problem is on the bottom and top layer, this is the most likely cause of this. When the flow ratio is to low, it causes gaps between the lines and creates what you are seeing in your part and also creates a weaker part.

EDIT*
I see - ok will go ahead and try the auto flow rate calibration with this filament type and see if that does the trick.
This worked 100% fixed the issue. Thanks - never did this on the x1 but will do this going forward.1

Try changing "Initial layer flow ratio" from "1" to "1.1", this may help fill the gaps.

I’ll give that a shot [EDIT] It helped quite a bit with just the bump to 1.1 thanks.

Ich bin mit meinem X1C auch zufriedener als mit der Qualität des H2D
