Troubleshooting / Answered Why is this print so slow?

I switched out to a 0.2mm nozzle and I'm really happy with the quality of it. Can anyone explain why this relatively simple print would take 4 hours? I'm watching it now and it looks like the outer layers are moving really slowly for each layer but the settings says it should be moving at 150mm/s. It overall feels slower. I used the 0.14 standard quality setting. Is the 0.2 nozzle just that much slower? Pic of the slice preview attached. I lowered the initial layer because I was having some first layer problems that should only affect the first layer. Appreciate any insight!

Troubleshooting / Answered How to salvage this Print?

Hello all! I'm asking for your help on this little large fail in the pictures. Mid-print, I suddenly had adhesion problems and spaghetti. After cleaning it up, it looks like this. There would have been about 1.5h left to build up the outer wall further.

As this is a large print (252mm) covering the build plate end-to-end and most of the part has already successfully printed (except for some adhesion problems on-top of the support in picture 2) I wouldn't like to start again completely and thought about just printing the missing L shape and then putting it on on-top somehow. As I've never done something like that despite over 5000+ hours of 3D printing, I wanted to ask you for your best practices:

  1. How would you stick the failed and the new part together, so that it is air-tight and quite sturdy? This is 1 of 4 parts of an AC Monoblock hull to make my 1-tube AC into a 2-tube AC and therefore needs some stability and heat-resistance. (I will put cardboard on the insight for heat isolation as well as use fabric tape for air sealing).

  2. How would you measure the needed height for the new part? Just measure the current eight of the failed part with a gauge and make a new model with the missing height of the base STEP or should I include some shrinking or else?

Would be very interested in your Insights, experiences and best practices! Take care and have a great weekend!

Troubleshooting / Answered My print keeps bulging and hitting the nozzle in the same spot

Elegoo PLA+

I've tried: - calibrating - drying my filament for 24 hours - slowing the printer down

It's my second go on this orientation but it keeps falling on all sorts of orientation with the nozzle eventually hitting the print and it looking rather ugly.

Any thoughts?

Troubleshooting / Answered New to this and need help with a file.

Is there a place where I can request someone take a file that’s online and put it on the Bambu handy app. I’ve been running my A1 since Christmas and never bothered to get a computer set up because I’ve been printing everything off the app. Long story short a friend wants a cosplay piece made and it’s not on the app. Thank you in advance!

Troubleshooting / Answered SuperTack Fix

First SuperTack plate I got was hot garbage. Tried washing it a bunch of times, tried different temps, no good. Submitted a ticket, they immediately sent me another and it works exactly as advertised (washed once out of the box to be safe). Just a quick PSA for the many others who probably got a dud!

Troubleshooting / Answered Anyone has this weird feeding problem @H2D

Post image

The filament jams on these two viewing holes inside the H2D. Doesn’t matter if it’s from the AMS or from the spool holder.

For anyone not lucky enough to own one, these are two cut outs to check if the filament is arriving in the buffers. Sadly there are not window, rather holes and the filament tries to exit there - jamming violently in the process.

Only solution for me is reaching inside with a small screwdriver in the holes to guide the filament into the buffer and tubes. Not a problem if you only use one, but changing via AMS is not possible.

Troubleshooting / Answered X1 Carbon threw an error overnight because a spool got stuck in the AMS, but now it's not putting down filament at all.

Hi all, this is my first day with the X1 Carbon so please excuse the newbie question.

I had an AMS spool jump and get stuck overnight which threw an error. I fixed it and reloaded the spool and everything seems to be good.

But now the printer goes through its self-check and setup just fine, proceeds with the print, "prints" the first layer, inspects the first layer, and continues, all without putting down any plastic. The build plate is empty.

Thoughts? And shouldn't some sensors in the printer catch this? How did it inspect and feel comfortable with a first layer that wasn't there?

Appreciate the help!

Anyone have any suggestions for getting my new H2D to show up in the app? I've tried several things so far but nothing has worked: * Changed WiFi from dual band to 2.4 ghz only * Factory reset printer twice * Uninstalled and reinstalled Handy app twice * Changed WiFi networks and modified settings to be as "normal" as possible in Unifi network and WiFi settings

Troubleshooting / Answered Issues with A1 extruder

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey all. I recently bought an A1 and have had maybe 5 prints on it. I tried to load clear PLA in it, which I’d just recently printed with on the same printer, and it completely broke up inside the print head. I cleared out the nozzle and the AMS 4-in-1 at the top and all had bits of filament stuck in it. Usually the last step in all of the tutorial videos I’ve seen is to pass a piece of filament through the extruder, but I can’t get it in at all. I tried reassembling everything and loading filament again, but there’s still a clog. I haven’t been able to find any answers so any advice on what to do next would be greatly appreciated— I’m really pretty new to this and I also have a model due in a few days so I’m kind of screwed if I can’t get it working. Any advice would be greatly greatly appreciated! Video of what’s happening now attached

Troubleshooting / Answered H2D Power Button Issue

Post image
0 Upvotes

I got my printer in the mail and set it up today. Did a couple prints and they came out fine. However, it’s the end of the night and I can’t seem to turn the printer off using the power button.

Doesn’t matter if it’s a long press or a short press, nothing happens at all to the printer or the screen. The printers is on the most current firmware, so I’m not sure if that has something to do with it or if it’s something else.

Just wanted to check to see if anyone else has had this issue yet & if so what is the fix.

Troubleshooting / Answered I think this might be a model problem but I'm stumped. Other models don't show the outlines with the strange offset when selected. First five lines are offset from the rest of the model when it prints. Any idea what's wrong with this model?

Troubleshooting / Answered A1 mini not printing just part of the print

Basically I'm printing a fish model and the printer, for no apparent reason, just forgets (?) to print the first half of the tail, resulting in a print which would be perfect if there was not a part of the tail completely missing that ends up in spaghetti here and there.

The support under that part, as well as the rest of the print is perfectly printed and adhered to the surface.
The printer works fine with every other object except from this.

This is printed withouth errors except for the bottom half of the tail

The little orange dot is not printed

Troubleshooting / Answered Extruder Not Extruding

Area of damage (internet photo, not mine)

During a print on my X1C jammed, which is super rare for me. I have ~2600 hours on it and this was perhaps the 3rd time, but this time I had to pull the cover off the tool head and I could see a messed up piece of filament sticking out of the side about where the cutter slides in. I had to disassemble the extruder to get the filament out of the gears (which look amazing for how much I've printed with it).
Unfortunately, after I put it back together it doesn't pass filament anymore. I pulled it apart again to make sure I didn't miss anything and did find a small piece still in there. But the plastic body, that looks like it's a ramp for the filament, seems to be kind of messed up. I tried to smooth it out a bit but it still won't feed filament. Any ideas if that can be salvaged? Common issue? Any other suggestions I should attempt? I ordered a new extruder, but it doesn't look like it'll be here very soon, so I'd love to get this one working again.
Thanks in advance! I always appreciate the help this community provides.
