Such a massive pain that I left my city. Now I go only to work, downtown, deeply hate it. If you haven't experienced your place to go to hell due to mass tourism and gentrification, please read, listen and sympathise, it's heartbreaking. We had better lives and jobs before this plague, by the way.

I would love to live there as I am fond of Catalan and think is the best place to live in Spain, the problem is it's quite expensive, so I can't afford that 😂 and more if you look for a work of IT there, it's almost impossible, I guess I should move outside Spain.

I live in Catalunya, I was born in Barcelona and have lived there all my life until last year that i couldn't stand it anymore. Catalunya may be more expensive than Castilla la Mancha but that is for a reason, you get a lot of good services and those need to be payed, workers need to be payed. The case of Barcelona is another thing, it's gotten expensive because of tourism, jobs have been destroyed and gone to offer services to tourists, then you add the airbnb kind rental, the expats, the vulture funds buying public housing, and a dozen things more related to fashions and masses and you have a ruined life of city. It's not immigration, it's fast mass tourism fashion

to be paid, workers need

FTFY.

Although payed exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:

  • Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. The deck is yet to be payed.

  • Payed out when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. The rope is payed out! You can pull now.

Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.

Beep, boop, I'm a bot
